Alternatively, using the exact same setup from this video except the hose coming out with hot water goes into the sink (so outside the bucket - in the drain). And then all you have to do is open up the tap at just the right amount because you'll be losing water, but you're always going to be getting fresh cool water from the tap into the bucket.
You're a life saver. I just got one of these, and the instructions suck. Typos, bad translations, and the illustrations are horrible. This was exactly what I needed. Thank you.
the 3 gallon none thumper kit and turn the boiler off the 3gal kit into thumper on the 8 gal, then take the condencer of both kits and splice together the copper tubong and fittings in to a 5 gallon bucket and put ice in the water and add copper tube on the inlet coupling til it leaves inch gap from bottom of thumper for better yeilds
Thinking about getting one of theses from Home Depot for 89$. Is the pot also your boil kettle AND fermentation vessel? Then sets up as distiller? Also do you think the stainless tubing can be easily fitting to use ALL copper tubing?
Yes can use the boil kettle as a fermentation vessel as well. You should be able to find the right fittings at home. I’m going to swap mine out for copper too.
Hey I just bought the same still. What's the thumper keg for anyway? do you really need it? Also, did you fill that water up into your condenser manually to the top, then put just enough water into the bucket just below the pump?
The thumper keg is for flavoring and it also double distiller your spirits. No you don't need it to use the still but it creates better quality drinks. The water pump is strong enough to fill the condenser. I normally just plug it in. I
I have an 8 gallon still. It depends on how high you have the fire up. Normally it takes about 45 minutes to get the first drips when its full up to 7 gallons. Maybe like 4 hours to pull all the alcohol out in a stripping run. And that without using the thumper. You can spend up to 8-12 hours to finish a good 2 runs using a 8 gallon still. Remember you don't want to run your still fast or high. Low and slow is the best way to make your cuts.
Turn down music on video just a bit great selection of tunes fosho. Great video looking to do some hobby distilling myself was considering this set up.
Thanks for the tip and for watching my video. I will use your advise, I do think it's a bit to loud as well. This Vevor Still is great, I really recommend this product.
@@chuckofalltrades202 saw you had a few weed vids I'll have to check them out. I grow outdoor in the summer as well. I'll have to check them out chuck of all trades great name.
Tip. Add ice to the cooling water for better condensing.
And turn the music down on the video.
thanks will do
Yeah, second the audio trim level.
@@TampaBishop I'd take out the music entirely....
