Timothy Little Are your bios & flash drives in the root of your device? Or are they in the regular emulated internal storage section where you store your regular files?
Please help me. I have Acer Iconia 840, kitkat 4.4.4. Device is rooted. I have my boot and flash files set up correctly. I have the directory set up correctly so Reicast does detect them. But when I boot the bios... screen goes black, then crashes. What do I do? Would it matter if the boot files are on external sd card and the Reicast is only on the internal memory? I read somewhere that Iconia users 4.4.4 must have the boot files in the root of the system but Reicast can't read files from the root which is why I have the root files on my external sd. Help me please.
y2jfan4e88 The boot files need to be installed inside a folder called "data" which is inside a folder called "dc" on the root of the device. This worked for me on all my Android devices.
y2jfan4e88 Both should be installed on the internal drive. I tried installing the app on my external SD card when I was using my S4 and it didn't work.
Timothy Little I see but again the main problem is I can't get Reicast to read off the root. The app doesn't have root access. But KK 4.4.4 requires the boot to be in the root. Looks like I'm stuck.
What version of Android do you have? Lollipop 5.0?
y2jfan4e88 No, I have 4.4.2 Kitkat

Timothy Little I have it set up exactly like that. Does it matter if the app installed on the internal SD and the boot is on the external SD?
