Yeah but france didint put the yoke on the US like GB france just left them alone. The US spilled more blood the french helped with tactics but most of the success of the US was gorila warfare they lost almost every stand up battle until the end. The biggest help france gave was the navy. Hard to build a navy to rival GB in a short time so just use frances.

I actually came across a Dade Award argument in two separate threads recently including the one you covered here. Reddit people for years mislabeled and misunderstood the award to the point that Leaguepedia had editing drama for a couple days in 2019 and now random faceless redditors are trying to reclaim it after literal years of not understanding its purpose is so damn funny and infuriating. People will steal Monte's ideas, talk garbage about them and then say he's either too biased or wrong when he's analyzing games, yet they don't understand them and instead attack his career choices (which were objectively good btw!).
You could argue at the time, the US wasn't truly independent yet. They still had the war of 1812 to fight, because they still hadn't earned the respect of their biggest trading partner (Britain), who was pulling strings and screwing with the US economy.

I remember PawN back in the day was also considered to be a god (same as Rookie a couple of years after, and maybe even Dade before international competitions happened) and way better than Faker on some champs like Jayce and... was it Kassadin? Talon maybe? So Faker had competition for the best player every year, and that's why he is the best because he managed to compete for 10 years against every single player at their peak. Everyone fell off (including Faker), but it looks like meanwhile some of them switched to coach Faker was the only one good enough to coach ingame while playing.
@@lester8403 well I meant it as his is the best all time because he is competing every year against the best players of that particular year and he outlasted them all. Obviously he hasn't been the best player for quite a while, but he still manages to compete and win from time to time which is really impressive because league in 2013 is completely different than league in 2020 or even 2017
@@yyoksetioxd faker is a 100p the best player to every laid hands on league of legends, but he hasn’t been the best player over the last few years!! And I do agree he has been in the top 5 in a couple of the years… he is the most consistent player ever to play at the top top level and have had the most clutch moments when it matter the most😅
