Becket Cook was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended Jesuit College Preparatory
School of Dallas. After graduating from college, Becket moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of writing and acting, finding success in both. He eventually went on to become a production designer working with the top photographers and directors in the world on fashion shoots for magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and for ad campaigns such as Gap, L'Oréal Paris, and Nike.
Finding a new sense of freedom in L.A., Becket also fully engaged in his new life as a gay man. He had a series of many relationships with men throughout the next fifteen years.
In September of 2009, Becket met a stranger at a coffee shop in Silver Lake who invited him to his church in Hollywood called Reality L.A. Becket reluctantly agreed to attend the service. After hearing the sermon that Sunday, Becket was utterly transformed by the gospel and gave his life to Christ. He also knew on that day when God revealed Himself to him that homosexuality was a sin and that he could no longer live that life. Becket was more than happy to count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus his Lord.
Becket spends much of his time in ministry speaking at churches, universities, and conferences helping believers (and non-believers) understand this issue biblically, theologically, culturally, and personally. Balancing grace and truth when teaching on this subject is of primary importance. His goal is to challenge the current cultural narrative about sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular by demonstrating through his personal testimony and biblical truths that, yes, homosexuality is still a sin, and that following Christ is infinitely more satisfying and joyous.
He has lived all over the world in major cities such as Rome, Vienna, and Tokyo.
Becket graduated from Talbot School of Theology at Biola University in 2017 with a Master of Arts in Theology.

As a mother of sons, I have zero interest in a world without men. My boys are a joy. The differences between men and women make the world more varied and interesting and make us grow as we strive to interact and relate.

Years ago I wanted to go workout and total women was close. But then I got from the title, and when I was there, Oh my why would I want to do this ? Eventually I joined gyms with lots of men, oh yeah.

most of these things happen in the west. too much liberty birthed all these negativity. it enabled these women who thinks that society would work better if it's a woman's only place.
Was a Chinese atheist before I came to faith in God in my 20 and accepted Christ in my 21 during my undergraduate study in the US. Feminist ideology has not only impacted the West but also many other parts of the world. It hurt me to make me feel shameful and guilty simply due to my existence as a man. It’s good to know I have a heavenly father and I can be strong, spiritually and physically, to lead and to serve.
Isn’t a ‘feminist’ / woman alive or dead who can make me feel ashamed of my masculinity or my inherent human worth…their hateful, vitriolic rhetoric / ‘ideology’ just never worked on me and I’ve had ‘dealings’ with THE most extremely disordered unapologetic radical ‘feminists’…but then, some men are simply built this way, other men succumb to female ‘influence’.🌿

Men need women and women need men. One without the other is destructive. The sooner we realize this the more we will heal. But we need to learn to focus on God and understand what his will is for us

Maybe this does not fit with your comment, but many churches, very large churches, are completely run by women. From senior pastors to every staff member. Men have been relegated to driving the golf carts in the parking lot or ushering.

As a single young woman, who fears the Lord, hearing about this kind of articles it is very discouraging... Just as Becket has pointed out, this world needs God fearing men, who lead, who protect and provide. I've had enough of this dumb articles, which serve as propaganda to disrupt relationships, and family the way that God established. There is no need for women to be vs men, just please take some time to read Genesis Chapter 2!!!
I don't think that anyone should be ruled by fear, unironically christian religion and woke fascists, fundamentally are the same. You seem to voice your beliefs in good faith, yet I hate to say it; one delusion over another is not the answer, or rather christianity created woke cult. Shaming men and forcing on others your way of life with threats of canceling, is no different than shaming nonbelievers and forcing your beliefs with threats of eternal torture. If you have authority, yet use fear mongering to be relevant, and threats to not be questioned - things that you bring on table are: Lies and misery.
When I was a broken, wounded young woman, I once screamed, "I hate men! Not one can be trusted!" But then God intervened, and made me a grateful wife to a godly man and a mother to five sons who are all young men. I want to yell from the rooftops, "We need you, men! We're cheering for you! God made you and you are absolutely essential!!" I completely agree with you, Becket. Thank you for bringing this important topic to our attention.

This is such a stupid idea - a world made up of only women !! Women aren’t all soft and loving, we can be extremely nasty to each other so it wouldn’t be all peace, harmony and love!! Thanks for the definitions of the gay titles. Have you heard from gay men who read the article? If so, what are their thoughts of a world w/o men?
This is funny. I just had this conversation with my sister and then my daughter the other day. Now…. I’m a woman, good at math, worked as a software engineer. I know women are smart and accomplished but I proposed that a world without men would look different. I questioned whether we would have skyscrapers, airplanes, etc. I said I didn’t think so because women aren’t driven to do these things. Both women went ballistic on me!!!

I'm a woman, I like things to be happy and lighthearted. I have never worked with female's who express this view but on the other hand rarely have a worked with a man who didn't express general happiness or lightheartedness. Guys are just more chill.

We must continue to pray for the men in our lives and our churches. And for me to live it. Show respect for my husband and my church leadership. Challenge other women when they tear down their husbands. Us older women need to take seriously the Titus scripture come alongside younger women and teaching them how to be a godly wife. As we speak we also must live. Pray for older men to also mentor the younger men too.
Where have we failed? Men have failed. We backslid into complacency. We then became apathetic. Now we are paying the cost of that complacency. Men, we need you to study what Godly men are and then start to emulate that. There is a day coming where strong, men of God will be called upon. Will you rise to that call. We are not afraid to be cancelled, not afraid to speak out and not afraid to stand on God's promises and wisdom.

Thank you for sharing. It is interesting that the author of the article says, “if you look through the lens of..” She is admitting she is skewing the story to a specific view. I also don’t understand why people do not take into account the traditions and cultural norms of the time period they are writing about. Friendships and relationships were more formal yet intimate during that time without being sexual especially among females. Women used to hold hands or walk arm in arm without it meaning anything except they were friends or relatives who were close. It is sad that our views and interpretations of relationships have been hijacked.

Most women can't even put together a piece of furniture from IKEA. If you get rid of allen, you get rid of all easy office jobs. Women would have to get their hands dirty, do heavy manual labor, and have to learn to work together with other women

The problem isn’t physical needs. The problem is men and women are better together. Learning to interact despite differences, learning to help and appreciate one another makes all of us better. We are all made in the image of God.
Yes, it's totally crazy, and insidious. I was watching videos of the Israeli army, the IDF, today, and reflecting how brave those young men were, and willing to give their lives to defend their country, and their families. Granted there are also many women in the IDF but they rarely take part in combat, they're found in search and rescue brigades, observation posts, and such like. So even in a country that requires most of the young girls to spend 3 years in the army, they still have on the whole different missions from men.

Becket, what is your advice for any former homosexual who sometimes slips and lusts after the same sex or even rarely turns to porn. As a former homosexual - God has shown me I never was really into men - but more so the safety they made me feel - something I didn't get as a child. I can go strong for quite a while - but sometimes fall short, I feel guilt even in the smallest of slips (I've never fornicated since and don't think I even will go that far again). I recently prayed that instead of removing the temptation altogether - for God to provide me ways and tools to become sober minded and grounded in faith during temptation. Are there any tools you use/used in order to get yourself out of path of slipping and sinning in this way? I realized I have intimacy issues, and somehow learning toward the counterfeit of homosexuality compared to heterosexuality is the root of my initial journey down the path to begin with. Thanks!
I have too struggled with this. I tried to make myself straight but failed. I then realized I need to make my goal be to just focus on Christ and do what's right. I'm not entirely cured per say but my sexual urges and lusts nearly disappear thanks to God. Also get some good Christian friends in your life. Most of the time ssa is caused by a lack of that closeness at a younger age and it gets confused in the teen years with sexuality. At least that's what happened to me.
I am thank God that He created men, we need them. We are igual in values but so different that we need each other.
I truly agree with you Becket. God's original creation was man and woman. And so therefore women cannot survive this earth without the strength, the presence of men. That's totally unbiblical imagination to remove men from this life. Without men there'll be no more women because in order to give birth to a baby girl a woman needs man's sperm. That's just it. Wishing that men did not exist, is like wishing that you have only one leg, or only one eye, or only one arm, etc. God created human beings as male and female. Then he declared it good. I have two sons, a son in law, and a wonderful husband. I really resent the oppression of men and vilifying of manhood. We need more men who are ready to step up into roles of leadership in our homes and communities, the way God intended them to be. I wish this belittling of men should stop. 😕

Reminds me of the tiresome Utopian novel "Herland" that I had to read in college.
Sadly, it makes sense the women's lib agenda would move in that direction. Men are (supposed to be) an example of the ultimate authority, God, whether it be a husband or father. Which is exactly what every unsaved sinner is running from, Their heavenly Father, His authority, and accountability to Him. May their eyes be opened to His great lovingkindness and may they realize that true peace can't come from our own hands, but only through acceptance of Jesus's sacrifice for our sins!
Amen. Love your comment! It's incredible how even in the church the role of man has been devalued. I remember how puzzled I was as a child reading Psalm 68:5 NIV "father to the fatherless, defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling" wondering why they were singled out. But it's because of the holy authority placed in the core of a husband over wife and father over children to carry out God's perfect Will in the world. Men are very important to God. I pray for their revelation.
