  • Tutorial on using CloudRF and SARTopo / CALTopo to model a LTE800 cell site using limited data from a network operator.
Network operators often provide data such as tower location and azimuth to support missing persons search operations.
    Key points:
    * Use 0.2W for the RF power to simulate the phone, not the tower
    * Use 120 degrees for the antenna beamwidth
    * If no signal strength measurements, create a RSRP dBm colour key with a dynamic range from -80 to -120 and 5dB steps.
    * Export the layer from your archive as a GeoTIFF with EPSG 3857 Mercator projection
    * In SARTopo, create a map by adding a marker, then click Add to add a "Map Sheet".
Map Sheet is a premium feature in SARTopo which requires at least a Pro account.
