This song is SO TIMELY for my family and I! My 13 year old sister has cancer, and Sunday I had gotten a call from my parents asking to gather all of my siblings to come and say our goodbyes… We prayed, we asked for a miracle, and here we are 5 days later and my sister has made a MIRACULOUS recovery and doctors are in AWE!

I've heard various versions of this song throughout my whole life, but this touched me deeply today. I'm in quarantine in Taiwan right now, locked in a hotel room alone for two weeks ... and yet not alone. The phrase "you alone" takes on a whole new meaning when the Lord is all you have - and you realize he is really all you need after all. I found myself sobbing on my knees in gratitude as I listened. Thank you for the blessing God used this song to bring me!

I lost my wife at 46 in 2012 to a brain tumor and I leaned heavily on Gaither music to help me through the pain. I’d be lying if I said I don’t have questions why this life has to be so hard and I know the biblical answer but that doesn’t make everything all better. I’m convinced one day, probably on the other side of eternity it will all make sense.

As so often happens with Shane and Shane's music when they worship in "spirit and in truth" , God steps in with His presence and they all seem caught up in that presence as was particularly evident in this video.

I have a huge connection with this song. I used to sing this in church growing up with my nan and I really felt god in those moments I heard this when we were away at spring harvest this year and those memories came flooding back and I really felt close to god again.
A picture that was donated to my grandmother Sandras funeral brought me to this song. RIP grandma. The quote on the picture of a deer by the stream in the woods states: "as the deer pants for water, so my soul longs for you."
