@@SoCalledFashion Thank you so much. yes, it's been really hard knowing where to go next and how to progress. I have so many skills and experience, and there's not much room for growth as a cad designer (in. my experience), And since I haven't had an education in fashion design I'd feel like an imposter applying for design jobs (despite loving Illustrator and drawing the designers' flats for a lot of my jobs.) Do you know of any cad designers who moved on to becoming designers?
@@SoCalledFashion Thank you so much for your response, i sincerely appreciate it! I am currently working on my portfolio and it takes so much work! BUT I am having a good time learning Squarespace, and it's also helping me narrow down and get specific about how I want to market myself. Most importantly I think it is allowing me to value my work as a print designer and I'm realizing that cads and textiles are a vital part of the process, and I'm slowly feeling more proud of my accomplishments (why do we devalue ourselves so much?). I am wondering if you have done some video materials about how you make the visual boards and flats (detailed explanations of each garment and then the collors) how you make those pages on illustrator (I suppose?). I am looking for some teaching videos on how to do that instead of writing it down by hand. Thanks in advance!

Hey!!! So glad your finding use in this video!!! A portfolio is the most valuable thing a designer can have without it we can’t progress! 👍

Yes I know a few who have moved from cad Attis to designer, the hardest part is to learn how to use illustrator so your well on your way!

What is the measurements of the art portfolio binder? thank you so much this video inspired me to get my stuff together.
The one I use is an A4 portfolio, the whole portfolio is just a little bit bigger than A4

Is there any software which we can use to create fashion portfolio? Which can be later downloaded and taken print for a offline Portfolio?
hey yes i would use adobe illustrator its a really versatile program that you can make mood boards and technical drawings on 👍👍👍
Is indesign useful to create fashion portfolio?
you can use indesign, but if you want all your illustrations and vector tech packs i think its better to use illustrator.
