Serious advice from a restorer of historic artefacts. Little is More, NO abrasives, no sandpaper, no strong chemicals. gentle use of liquid kettle descaler (Formic Acid) will remove staining, fresh Water will halt the Acids action, after only a few minutes submersion. The shiny items will benefit from this. Boiled Linseed Oil can be used as a cleaner and a preservative.

Nigel if you remember I said about that Renaissance Wax that was used on the repair shop program its used by museums to clean and preserve everything from metal to leather. I use it and it's excellent stuff

If I included all the footage the video would be roughly 10 hrs long cause that’s how long we fish for. I do include the footage of the interesting things coming out.
