- In the final part of our two-part series, Rory takes the Segway-Ninebot Gokart Pro drifting at the epic Blastacars circuit in Gamuda Cove. How will this tiny electric go kart fair on a full-fledged drift kart track? And can it even keep up with a proper drift kart?

I am going on 68 years old and bought a pro for Christmas for myself. It is the most fun 3 miles I can spend. I get 3 miles and some low power return home on a ride. It was the best $2000 I have spent in years.
I had tons of fun doing this video. Makes me want to go drift karting again!
the best ninebot go kart pro review so far. thanks a lot for this. i’m waiting for the lamborghini edition review if you have the chance to get one. 👍🏻
are they difference in spec beside colour
Did you get it yet???
@@fanzury2289 no
It is a different color

DON'T USE DYNAMIC TURNING FOR DRIFTING
if you want to drift it properly.
So I bought the pro and just got it yesterday. It's FAST! I took it out in touring mode with the drift assist OFF and I was drifting around turns and roundabouts with ease!! Felt just like drifting a real car or any other go kart. I was super pumped because when I first watched your video, I was kind of bummed out that drifting wouldn't be a thing and only be able to power slide, but it wasn't true at all! So then... I decided to try it with Drift Assist turned on and to 100%. I couldn't get it to drift at all! What it reminds me of is my RX7 FC's rear steer where the rear tires help you maintain traction under tight turns. I think they miss branded that functionality. It's not Drift Assist, it's more of a turning assist. I hate any car aids so I always prefer the raw vehicle so it's predictable, especially in drifting.
Obviously, this is my own opinion so please try out all the modes and see what works best for your style.
I’m looking into one right now, how do you like it? Is the battery life a deal breaker?
@@robbymariani for me, battery life is not an issue or factor at all. I’m yet to ever say “I wish the battery lasted longer”. I have driven it till it was 15% left and it does lose its umph at that low of a battery but by then I’ve had PLENTY of fun with it and can use a break. My real issue is with the brake. The brake pedal basically locks up the tires and jolts me forward. There’s no feathering yo the brakes it seems. A friend had the same issue on his. Still, totally worth it and love it
@@ROMTHIRTY okay thank you for the response! Would you say the battery lasts longer than about 15-20 mins? I’ve been reading that’s about all it’s good for.
I’ll have to keep the brake issue in mind, I was hoping it had regen braking haha
@@robbymariani keep in mind I’m running mine at track mode (full power) so yes you’ll get a 15 mins of full power but after than you’ll be able to drive it but you’ll loose that acceleration burst. I think 20 mins is about right for a joy ride pushing it to the max.
@@ROMTHIRTY okay cool thank you!
For better drifting switch dynamic steering off and turn traction and stability control off and set it to the highest speed setting
The most honest and objective review of the electric gokart i have come across
I've tried the original kart outdoors and indoors on a similar surface to yours the cart is meant to perform outdoors on an autocross type track
Yes! Review the hoverboard please!
the go-kart pro does not lose performance as the battery drops, it starts to limit motor speed when it starts to overheat.
for under a hundred thousand subs you videos are awesome
Hey thanks mate! --Rory
what is your helm product name? looks good the combination with the gokart
Thats the main problem with 9bot battery dont last long. If you go peddle to the metal the battery only last 45 min to hour before having to charge. Other then that its super fun.
0:58 actually we have a go cart drift track in Brisbane Australia with a tunnel and bridge, the track is called slideways
Imagine drift with that in a school its would be so fun
I’d love to know if changing the compound of the tires would create a drift that can be held
the understeer and weight distribution is the main challenge, tyre compound wont change that at all
Does this vendor you purchased from send these to the USA?
When u said drift one place to go I thought u were gonna go to tokyo
I have ten of the standard ninebot karts. Most of the time it’s just four of my friends racing so we swap bases to keep charged up.
I think the pro is too expensive to do that. We flashed the software so ours all do about 30kmh which is plenty fast enough.
I can’t really see the point of the pro.
Wow that's pretty hardcore. --Rory
what is battery life like?
the petrol karts do not have differential gears.. good for drifting.. ninebot .... have independent torqure tires that compensates directional imbalance.
I wonder if we can use TESLA batt. technology on one of these to improve the life drastically?
Where can I get that green helmet at
How to on the dynamic turn ?
00:58 uhh no it isn't. I drove at a drift kart track with a bridge and tunnel 4 years ago in QLD, Australia.
I was thinking about it, then I started looking for used gas karts. Way more value there.
I absolutely HATE it when companies sell something with the word DRIFT in it. I am really super glad you did this review so thank you for that. If you can't countersteer with something like this for a long time whilst drifting (rwd tires spinning) then you can't stamp this as a drift cart. Eventho the crazy cart is not RWD it still gives you the best feeling of drifting. Is there anything else on the market LIKE the ninebot gokart that DOES drift? KhanaKarts? Drift Trikes? I would love to see a electric 4 wheel kart that can drift with good steering... Somebody help me please?
PS here is the OLD ninebot - with drift wheels : ruclips.net/video/pNjqF0A2V6U/видео.html
I have seen other reviewers that utilize the track mode and do some pretty good drifting
@@cwbuilds9215 thats bs. I want to see the proof then. Sliding short distances isn't really drifting.
@@RebelDrifter this guy kept trac control and dynamic steering on

If you use the emergency brake it should slide just don't pull it all the way
are they ever going to sell the balancing scooter on its own? I have the original white go kart and just want an increase in power.

batteries are coming that don't discharge like current ones the force I guess to call it. The way batteries drain won't be the same
Petrol doesn't come from prehistoric animals. It's prehistoric plants.
Do not drive it hard! The hub motor bearings will get noisy! Do not! Drive easy and enjoy it if you want it to work...😮
Hola fantástico videos amigo! Yo quiero uno lo vendes?
Bruh in Australia we have a drift kart track with a bridge
next week I am expecting the Lambo edition...I can't wait...
Does anyone know how to charge this kart? I don't know the English word but in China they have different contacts? The adapter is okay but the last end to charge it has 3 metal pins...

Thats a lie in Saudi Arabia and dubai have tunnel and bridges in their tracks
It is a good
It's super fun! The instant acceleration from the powerful electric motor is addictive and you can take the rear off and use it as a hoverboard. That's useful too.
For over 2k you can buy a good used shifter cart and get much more for your money. This thing is junk.
What.
Looks more like a shitload of understeer more than drifting, pretty gay
I wanted to watch and figure something out for myself, but I couldn’t make it... annoying accent
