Why models/actors/idols in South Korea are so obsessed with plastic surgery to get themselves a specific kind of look, (even In India, some actresses have undergone plastic surgery to get a specific kind of Lip, or Nose, etc, ) , I even came to know that the leader of a kpop band is often (not always) decided on the basis of looks, ironically these are same people who will then talk about "loving inner beauty!"
I know that it is purely a MATTER OF PERSONAL CHOICE, of how a person wants to portray him/herself , but I would just say that this trend is nothing but a soft form of "racism!" this shows that people still have a mindset of looking fair, giving fair skin an edge over others!
PS: I am a 19 year old Indian male, still learning about our society , I know I am wrong at many places! So critical comments are always welcome!

Its becuz of their companies if they have to achieve their dreams they have to listen to their companies and follow Korean standards of beauty
