And his story is a great one! He went through many hardships to be able to be his true self, and now he helps others, like him who are displaced. Very inspirational!

Hi Garret & Blake!! I hate to bother you, but i'd love some advice!! Okay, I am bisexual, and I have come out to my friends online, my friends in real life, even to my entire school. However, I havent been able to come out to my own family.. My parents & sister are both homophobic, and we cant even go to family gatherings because my cousin came out as lesbian. What should i do? Much love, & im very happy for you two !!

Thanks for reaching out! We would say make sure that you are safe, first and foremost. It's very difficult to have to hide your true self in your own home, as many young queer people are forced to do, however, it's important that you are safe. If you think your family would act out or potentially kick you out, it might be good to have a backup plan, as sad as that sounds. Many people wait until they are off to college and are financially independent before coming out, but that choice will be up to you. Whatever you choose to do, know that you are loved by many, and we hope that your family eventually comes around. 💜
