Back in the 80's everyone in our community would gather outside the local barber shop to hear the latest releases by Haircuts for Men. In them days it was only allowed to be played by hairdressers but eventually it grew in popularity and you could buy a copy after collecting enough haircut stamps.. we used to get our hair trimmed down one grade at a time so we could get more stamps. My neighbour Gary was a boldy so he would have to come round ours and we'd pretend to cut his hair so he'd be allowed to listen to Haircuts for Men. Good times. Glad someone kept their copy after the big digital war of 99.. still reminds me of Bouncer the dog from Neighbours.
back in the 70's HFM was my Boyfriend and We always play beats By Macroblank to kiss every night. I just remember "About That Night" when we first made love.. was so magical and I really touched the sky when we got into Climax. tbf best boyfriend I've ever had. Glad that his music is now receiving the recognition it deserved. I love my Hairquit
I thought HFM's 1989 had nothing but bangers but JEEZ, First Track kicks up and not once does the quality dip down. Peak Barberbeats, Thank you for this upload. Long Live Barberbeats.
Like walking down a golden street in some golden town on one of those rarest of golden days and being bored outta yer gourd. THIS is the sound a tree makes when it tumbles in the forest and their ain't no one around to hear it. THIS is what's playing in my coffin, on shuffle. And THIS is why I shall live forever, or die trying.
@@SkyIsTumbling Like sitting on a golden commode and shitting out a golden load and upon rising what do you behold?---reverse alchemy---it's shitty lead, not gold. Oh, and not nearly baked enough laddie---I'd hafta be Alaska-Lasagna-Beans to be able to tolerate even an iota of this vaporous effluvium, 'cause then I wouldn't have any ears. This is Underground ah "music" . . . and ya can't bury it deep enough. And don't worry about seismic activity---this'll narcotize an erupting volcano in a second.

What is this weird esoteric art from. If I can even call it, art. It's symbolism? Music deep and has almost philosophical vibes, thinking in different ways.
This brings me back. I hate how all those trip-hop dudes used to copy hcfm back in the day. Almost as bad as that band Radiohead… all they did was play guitars, just like the monkees did in the 12th century.
I remember hearing misty roads long time ago somewhere else, played differently, and just found Haircut nabbed the original it seems. "Up the Down Steroids" is a better version, otherwise this guy's influences are as dope as he. Give the other a listen.
Bro WTF Chill On the satanic album covers!!! Real ***** only f*** with demon slayers out here get outa here w that weak shit it fks w the vibe for the beats which aint bad.💥💥🌦 "And u know thissss mannnnn" -mike epps voice😂

the second song goes insanely hard. so trippy
this whole album is nearing psychedelic levels
Is that really the creation date of these masterpieces? HFM was way ahead of his time.
nah it's just for aesthetics, this was made during 2019
Lol, ok
@@SkyIsTumbling um. a title isnt the place to put aesthetics. we all think it actually came out during that time, that's just misleading...lol
@Slim Dim that's a retarded trope tbh. Then again tropes have always been retarded.

track 9 samples Serj Tankian's "Praise the Lord and pass the Ammunition" from the album "Elect the Dead"
untitled 6 9:48 blends so well with inscrpytion ambiance at least for Kaycee's mod .
that first track's DDPNP sample is fucking phenomenal, and boardwalk blues is a nice wrap-up to the Early Tape Works series. such a hazy album.
DDPNPsample?
@@tanguysnoeck3166 1st track samples Up the Down Steroids by Dadammphreaknoizphunk (DDPNP)
Its just a slowed down version of DDPNP.
This sounds way different from the digital version. I love it
