I think there should be a correction in the ellipsoid for the bending of the H2O molecule. sir the major axis of the middle ellipsoid in the bending mode should be horizontal and the minor axis to be verticle..... loved your teaching :) :)

sir inactive ki reason is that in case of co2 bending the both extreem position form same ellipsoid mean show same effect perpendicular to feild so not show polarization so inactive i am right or not

Sir I think you have not explained Polarization of CO2 in Bending mode. There is a change in magnitude, still it has been shown as inactive. Why sir?
Though magnitude is changing...but for both extreme its same.. thus dAlpha/dzeta gives value zero

Watch video carefully. We see at two extreme condition nt with equillibirum condition.the change in two extreme conditions is same . Isliye inactive.
