As an outsider speed running is so funny cause it’s like if Usain Bolt was the record holder for years then all of the sudden “John Lightning” takes it only to then be dethroned a week later by “Bob Runsalot”
Love how you're shining light on the actual players themselves. They deserve this praise. Brilliant tactics, I can't imagine the Number of hours spent staring st a loading screen to achieve these.
I play hitman EXTREMELY casually (ive never finished a suit only mission lol) but your explanation is detailed enough for even a novis like me to understand some of the most intricate details of this game, another great video, thank you!
Honestly shooting for chameleon is a fun way to play, since you get to hunt for all the disguises; teaching you the map, where certain people can or do go, you come across all kinds of items and goofy NPC conversations.
@@thetotallyrealsusie I now have yes (Thanks to Aspecticors videos) but at the time I hadn't, I really only played casually and didn't have a ton of time in-between my jobs
after watching this, I can definitely say that more hitmen should go for the "throw a propane tank and then shoot it" technique. Seems proven to be very effective in taking out targets silently.
43:00 I agree with you; while the Molotovs accidental kills were obviously a bug, it was part of the game's mechanic, and thus available for any player to utilize. And I also understand why runs who relied on it are not invalided per see, but were relegated to a type of "legacy runs," since the mechanics were changed, and thus the playing field wasn't equal anymore.
What's really insane is that only a month ago as of posting this comment, someone shattered the record again, faster than even the voided molotov runs. The record now is 3:25. This type of game is essentially like one big moving puzzle. As someone who has difficulty even completing it casually, it's simply mind blowing to me how efficiently the levels can be completed by speedrunners.
The background music being mostly HOME, great editing, managing to keep my attention on a long video, talks about one of the best games ever made… this video is a masterpiece
Well he did copy strategies in his fastest runs but yes for a long time he did not give in to copy the Paris bomb launch run and he is an absolute legend
@48:42 I like how you like up the beat drop in we are finally landing with the head shots in the final record. Liked the song so much since summoningsalt
Amazing vid as always: Top tier explanations and examples, and very well edited. Can definitely see the amount of effort you put into this. ♥👏 That being said, was a lil upset that there was no explanation of Elusive Targets. Oh well, maybe next time.
I'm always happy to see more quality "speedrun explained" channels and videos. Really helps set a baseline for understanding what you're watching on stream!
Watching this after seeing how you are in streams, its funny when you do serious professional vids like this. This is suit and tie with a clipboard Aspecticor in real serious adult mode right now. Great stuff as always, even if I only want Hitman Horse. Hitman Horse! Hitman Horse!
there is not a single content creator on youtube ,that creates content that has me this invested and concentrated than you. Keep up the amazing content!
I'm mega curious if bomb launches could be used for any of the other stages It seems insanely impractical, but any time save at this point would be huge
Moo and I were working on a launch for Colorado when we were still playing as its the only map left in S1 that could see an improvement from it, but it raised a few problems that were pretty much unsolvable, so unless some massive development is discovered, I don't think S1 will see more launches.
The way you worked this history video is similar to how Summoning Salt does his. You went a little more in depth with each specific run than he does, however. Nice video, it was fun and easy to follow!
Great video! Though, if you're wanting to reach a wider audience (people who may not be that familiar with the Hitman levels) I'd consider giving a brief description of each map itself to give more context to what speed runners are contending with.
This reminds me of Taran Van Hemert's Zelda speedrunning history video with the barrier skip. I don't play Zelda or Hitman but I love seeing developments in runs as it pushes the game and its players to its limits. Great video as always!
Amazing explanation, and so well editing! Thank you so much for the video it was nice little documentary. Please continue doing more videos like these 🙏
This video was incredibly well done and incredibly entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! This type of creative content always gets a thumbs up from me! 👍

I don't think the point of speed running should be to beat the others, because that gets you in a negative spiral. It should be to beat yourself. You did good. And now you're better.
Amazing video. I don’t even play this game but watching your content is still super enjoyable. Hopefully more people pick you up because you are awesome.
The last speedrun explained video randomly showed up in my recommendations after I was watching a bunch of portal speedruns. Never played Hitman prior but immediately got hooked. That was about a month ago and now I have almost 150h in Hitman 3 So when youtube wated me to rate the video, I selected "changed my life"
In the spirit of explanations, I'm really curious about the numbers at 33:40 -- for Sappienza, the run you're discussing shows a red +2 seconds, which appears to be in comparison to the leftmost column. It seems like it should be a -2, but all the numbers add up! Like I did it in my head once or twice and the red & green numbers seem to line up. Is that +2 in comparison to some other run that got a 1:01 at the time? A fabulous video that really makes me want to get into hitman for the first time, im hella glad i found this channel :)
As an outsider speed running is so funny cause it’s like if Usain Bolt was the record holder for years then all of the sudden “John Lightning” takes it only to then be dethroned a week later by “Bob Runsalot”

What an unfortunate chain of complete accidents completed in astounding speeds.
Love how you're shining light on the actual players themselves. They deserve this praise. Brilliant tactics, I can't imagine the Number of hours spent staring st a loading screen to achieve these.
Glad you enjoyed :)
I love the way it says “body found” if the target in France is killed by a chandelier. Like no shit Sherlock there were 1,000 people there
7:50
I love how casually he says "Sending him to the Shadow Realm" like he's teaching a class.
lmao and "fowl play"
This is the greatest video ever made, fixed my marriage, cured my gout, and gave me $500. Thanks Aspecticor!

this video ruined my marriage, gave me gout, and lost me $500. definitely worth it, great video
This video woke me up to the fact i’m not married, don’t have gout, nor $500. This was definitely a video that is watchable.
My gout returned shortly after finishing this video, i have to continue watching it on repeat
This is the greatest comment ever, it fixed my depression, got me a promotion, and gave me a nice hot meal! Thanks Skelly!
Aspecticor speedrunning his way to becoming the Wirtual of Hitman

fax I was thinking the exact same thing, prolly a little inspired
Wirtual speed running his way to become summoning salt of tmnf
literally found this from a wirtual video
This genuinely felt like a Wirtual video. Is guy also Norwegian?

This was posted just when I was re-watching your last video... Perfect timing!
Actually the greatest rivalry in hitman speedrunning is the Sapienza any% battle between Quasimoto and Hulime.
i agree
new aspect video!!
The rivalry in the hitman speedruning community is insane it's the Goku and Vegeta's rivalry but in Hitman speedruning.
this guy aspectator is so effortlessley cool
I love the way you broke down the creative ways the speed runners used to complete their challenges. This is an excellent video. Keep it up!
Been waiting a while for the new upload. Finally able to catch some streams, love the positivity my friend.
New run by Zionicle with 3:25 now hold the record. Insane
Really one of the effortlessly best videos I've ever watched

I was fucking astonished the first time I saw a bomb launch, I was like wtf we're using artillery now guys
@@californianightmares6463 And just like Artillery, its an obnoxious pain in the ass to aim effectively and with precision, bomb launchs are insane
@Extant Fellow moo did do one on hokkaido in this video
The main thing about these I see is abuse of hitman logic and the games physics engine regarding explosions
Let’s gooooo aspect! Know you been grinding on this one
Im just so happy to see a speedrun that uses the game clock. So many just say real time no breaks and leave it there.
