I've always wondered about the origin of NFTs. Super cool video. I remember looking to buy a Crypto Punk back in the day when they 1st were announced, boy i wish i could go back and get one. Also more recently those Bitcoin Ordinals i was fully aware of then before the 1st 10k ordinal was minted and if i bought any of those even any of the 1st 100k ordinals i would be rich but bahhh lol. The only good major NFT trades (besides Veve) i've done were when Immutable X's NFT marketplace 1st dropped and the 1st major collection dropped was Moody Krows and I turned 300 bucks into 3 grand overnight followed by Astro Bros which stealth dropped for like 50 bucks each and were selling for $500 the next day. Only through IMX did i learn about Veve and have been here ever since.

Not officially :) Crypto punks were minted in 2017. The 1st nft, Quantum, was minted in 2014. You can research this as well 👍🏼

Punks was the first widely popular, accepted & embraced collection.
One of the earliest on ETH.
Popularized the 10,000 mint collection size.
Again, was not the first but the first to become popular which is why it's widely accepted as a historically significant collection, embraced as art & considered a set of culturally significant artifacts that marked the start of the true NFT movement & digital ownership.
I see Todd's, MC1's & VeVe season 1 doing similarly for digital comics books & digital ownership of large IP.
The more you know the more your perspectives grow & change.
When eyes comeback to the space the first most popular things will hold the most value & draw the most interest from both the wealthy who value these things as well as speculators & those who just want to flex.
The new & coolest & most scarce stuff will be the only things that rival it.
In the end it will be history & art vs utility. Both have a place. One tends to increase with time & the other tends to decrease once it gets replaced.
At different times one side will lead or pull away but in the end one will reign supreme as the people who have the most wealth & influence tend to value what can't be easily bought with money & isn't easily or simply cannot be replaced.
