I can totally relate, sometimes we are obsessed at the beginning with perfumes and than something is changing sometimes it’s our nose or just trying so many different ones.
I bought Lalique Soleil because of you🤣 sold it recently ...Jasmine Wisp is a hit though lol so I have learnt not to purchase perfumes because of RUclips reviews 🤷🏽♀️ and believe me you are not the only reviewer that made us all buy something so it’s allll good 😃

I've bought lots of perfumes based off of RUclips reviews and some of them have been hits while others have been misses. I've finally learned my scent profile and what I like the most so i tend to stay within a certain range of notes but I also enjoy exploring and blind buying.
I was shocked to see soleil on the thumbnail...since you so strongly recommended it in the beginning..I can see tastes change after I ve watched many RUclips videos and reviewers changing their views 😊 I am glad you atleast acknowledged your earlier view

I think you should try Boadicea the Victorious Ardent, I find that it smells less earthy and more feminine than Noir de Noir without losing the Noir de Noir DNA 😍

My experience with Soleil was different - when I first got it, I was little put off, the musk came out really strong and sour on my skin, also the coffee note was quite prominent and I'm not the biggest fan of that note. But I tried again and again wearing it in different days, different weather and came to the conclusion it needs a cooler weather, like spring/early autumn. Doesn't work in the heat of the summer. Now it is a lot more balanced, I sense more flowers and fruits and I really enjoy it. Smells classy and expensive, good choice for the office.
About Al Haramain, I got mine last year and found it very masculine, gave it to my husband, he wore it all summer long, used it up nearly completely. This year I discovered a new craving for those tropical, fruity, tart scents, pulled what was left out ftom my drawer and, guess what, now I need a full bottle for myself!
Paulina, I truly enjoyed this video. My Mom has passed, but this brought back fond memories. If something smelled fabulous on her, I knew to avoid it at all costs and visa versa. 😂 Body chemistry is so interesting. Your silk blouse is absolutely gorgeous!! Oh! You look fabulous in navy. I second this!! I love a good coconut fragrance. Three that I know and love off the top of my head are Ariana Grande's Cloud, Coconut Fizz by Guerlain and Kayali has a really good coconut perfume too.
I think a softer and more feminie version of noir de noir would be cafe tuberosa from atelier cologne😊 grow on me as one of my absolute favourits😍

A lighter more Rose forward scent very similar to Noir de Noir is Noire de Mai from Veronique Gabai. It’s the same gothic Roses, patchouli, amber, dark but also a little lighter than Noir de Noir. It’s like NDN but more feminine.

Lalique Soleil -😩 I wanted to love that one so much but the cardamom was the most prominent note and I didn’t get much of the creaminess in it.
Girl of Now Forever- the lemon peel started to really bother me after 3-4 times of using it. The longevity on that one is insane though!
And Insolence - gone the first day I got it. 😩 it was way too much violet for me and super sharp. I couldn’t handle that one. I was in love with the bottle though. 💕

I got the GON Forever because of you. I still use it because for a citrusy perfume, it lasts. Yes it can be a bit tangy but I think it’s a great summer scent. I also got Soleil because of your recommendation. Both fragrances I got at a good deal so I am not regretting my purchase. Soleil was ok nothing great so I appreciate that you actually regret it. Amber oud gold on the other hand I really love and thank you for introducing me to that. NdN I didn’t purchase and I commented on your video before that I didn’t enjoy it so much because maybe my nose is not as mature to those type of fragrance. I used to not like Soleil Blanc but I revisited it and really enjoyed it. Smelled the edt version, it’s good but the edp for me is better. So maybe you can revisit it again. I think you mentioned before it was cloying for a summer fragrance? But I don’t think so & that’s my nose.
I just got a sample of soleil and it is beautiful!! …. Then it is gone an hour later. My skin just eats the scent! Maybe it is better in warm weather?
I love many kinds of perfumes, and Insolence is one of my favorites. I love powdery violet scents. In general, I gravitate toward strong, powdery, aldehydic and/or “vintage” scents. even though I’m a young person 🤣 for example, I love Chanel number 5, Chanel coco, Chanel coco noir, the originale Miss Dior, Estée Lauder Beautiful and Tom Ford’s violet blonde.
Spray noir de noir on the clothes instead of skin?
Have you tried Parle Moi de Parfums Guimauve de Noel?? It's an amazing orange blossom and marshmallow, totally different from BK Love DBS imo!
I love Lalique Soleil, especially in hot weather.

@@matinaafe5783 For me this didn't work in hot weather (above 25 degrees) because the musk came out really sour. Try in a little cooler weather, like spring or early autumn.

Angel and Noir Noir does the same for me. I sadly had to return. I told the store that they smell like car oil on me. I had the same with Baccarat Rouge and Everybody loves it.
Same experience with Ylang Ylang Gold. I bought it bcause of YT and was really disappointed 🤣🤣it smells ok but i had high hopes and i feel like it reminds me of a basic powdry designer perfume.

I agree with Choco Musk, even the oil smells artificial though delecious. Lancome Oud Bouquet and swiss arabian shaghaf oud smells veryyyyy generic for a middleeastern.

I absolutely love noir de noir! What I hate is Delina! It smells so bad on my skin! I really had to scrub that stuff off me.
I had the same reaction. It smells like car oil on my skin. I was so disappointed with everyone praising it so much! Portrait of a lady is very nice on my skin but Baccarat Rouge is horrible.
Hello! Could you please tell me the difference between Lancome la nuit tresor nude and Coconut fizz Guerlain?
I don’t have la nuit tresor nude at hand but can say that Coconut fizz by Guerlain is very fresh, watery coconut more like coconut water than coconut milk, and it is quite subtle, not much projection - delightful on hot summer skin though.
Even though Trésor nude is not that loud either, I am guessing it is still different vibe with vanilla in that.

@@johnsmith5525 oh, I do own the biggest bottle of Dolce Garden and I love it! It is a safe bet with anyone who loves coconut! That one is very creamy, feminine and also floral. Intoxicating, also for those in one’s company. Surprisingly well lasting as well - so that might be the best of the bunch if you ask me and many other women 🥰

None of the Girl of Now perfumes have worked for me. I've owned three: Girl of Now, GON Shine and GON Forever. And I've sold all but GON Forever however it is currently listed on my Mercari page. I cannot stand any of them and it makes me really leery to try the Elie Saab EDP even though everyone says it's so good. They said the same thing about Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely EDP and Sofia Vergara's EDP....and I hated both of those too. Basically straight up musk perfumes. Made me want to vomit and same with the Girl of Now fragrances.

Yes they do smell alike- but Casmir and also Hanae Mori Butterfly were first- so I personally respect those two more than the fancier one by M Micallef.
I prefer Casmir over Micaleff. They are very similar.
Insolence and Soleil are pretty scents but didn't work for me, either.

Paulina you should not feel sorry about recommending a perfume, even if it did not work out for you in the end. We are the only ones to blame for our blind buy purchases. RUclipsrs' recommendations should give us an impulse to try the stuff out and not to blind buy it. As you said many times, we have different skin chemistry, environment we live in and there are so many other factors that influence the way a perfume smells on us.

It also happened to me to buy perfumes, love them for a while and then give them to mom just like you hahaha, I think it's normal, I realise sometimes it does not work with my personality or my taste simply changes with time.
Ohhh I didn't get what the hype was around Insolence de Guerlain, I live in Paris and you can find this perfume in any boutique, but no one gives a damn about it and no one talks about it and no one wears it, it is certainely the marketing for the US that made it famous cause honestly no one I know here even mentions it.
And Ylang in Gold I love it and it smells amazing on me so refined and elegant, but it does not last, for 250€ lasting power of 3hours is a shame(maybe it lasts more on other persons) so I bought Casmir which I find has more depth, a little oriental heaviness with a touch of vintage, it also smells great on me and lasts 7h.
Lalique is so expensive here in France, so I will not pay 85-100€ for a bottle just to try it, too bad.
Did you tried on Notino for Lalique ?it s pretty affordable

I think you shouldn't recommend perfumes, we are all so different. I appreciate RUclipsrs who are really good in fragrances reviews, but they never rave or recommend. It's sad to see how you still recommend fragrances you raved about but you are decluttering them. It makes no sense. Your videos are just not the ones that I would watch when looking for a trustworthy perfume opinion 🤷
Got to take recommendations with a grain of salt! I like to listen to Persolaise to get a good idea on a scent. And in French, I enjoy Iris Factice. They describe but never recommend.

These are always the ones we want to keep quiet, but they are a reality. Noir De Noir and Black Orchid do the same thing on my skin. The truffle really comes out and it smells like Mushrooms. 🍄 It smells spectacular on everyone else, but me. Earthy notes do go sour on my skin, so I think 🤔 that it’s my skin chemistry. 🧪 😔
