Had an RC30, loved it, would climb a wall, very steep forest where I am. Upgraded to an RT-40.. WOW!! Huge lift, same wall climbing capability, Stiffer structure, FAST, what a Beast! The RC30 was Bare Bones, No cup holders, tach, temp gauge or Rear View mirror, but did have a fuel gauge that didn't work. Question: Why does the RT-40 not have a Hitch Receiver? The RC30 and RT25 both have it. Also the RT40 needs more of a rear bumper to protect that beautiful engine cover. Need the receiver because I pull other equipment (Stump Grinder specifically) with a tow hitch. Will have to build one if not offered as an accessory. Great evolution of the RC30.. This guy can really do amazing things, congratulations!
More RT40 comments: Downsides: Computer controlled engine w/MAF Sensor.. engine access is limited, no service manuals available (Yet). Like new cars, Fixing this machine yourself (Unlike the RC30) will likely be difficult. I got the enclosed cab with the door. Love it! Boom must be All the way down to open the door, with the fork lift attachment I have sometimes not possible. I have to find a divit or rock somewhere to park which allows dropping the boom w/o the forks hitting the ground. If this turns into a dealer only fix situation, I'll be dissappointed. Hopefully it doesn't break! The Kubota engine is AWESOME! Smooth, pretty quiet (almost an electric hum), easy start, turbo. Hydraulic whine is quite a bit more than the RC30, but love the sound.. fluids working Hard! Happy Customer (So Far)!
One more: Looking for a 4 in 1 bucket.. considering buying a 48" with the much smaller stand on attachment interface (MT50) and welding it to a blank RC30 type attachment plate. Not a fan of adding the adapter in the middle.. has to be less stable than a direct attach. $2300 for the CID RC30 version, whereas the MT50 version is like $1600.
Have 3 currently. I think i may see a 100 in my fleet before long. Never know might buy another new one. The rc 30 was purchased in 2007 it has 3000 hours on it now. Tough little guy. Definitely do more work in tight areas than any other brand.
Hey Yanmar,upgrade your undercarriage and make it more robust.Take over some of the engineering from ASV.These machines have more potential,it just takes some japanese refinement to tofit and finish and the weaker areas of design.
When someone asks "who is ASV" they're generally inquiring about the company's ownership. Since ASV Holdings no longer appears to hold a majority interest in the company itself, why don't you provide some insight into Yanmar's plans for ASV going forward?
