It's alright heath, i love Pak N Save too. What a great first nights camp site for the RV. Your daughter is so altruistic at such a young age. The '"there's a shower" expression was priceless.
Glad you got to come back to our lovely country & love how you get excited about our Pak n Save supermarkets 😊 looking forward to the rest of you videos Wow that's a lovely gift basket awesome Wilderness Cheers 🤗 Sue Taranaki NZ
Lots of chuckles (and eye rolling about Pak'NSave). I'm glad you're back and hope it hasn't rained for your whole adventure. Your previous trip 'sold' me on Wilderness. I love their motorhomes and managed to squeeze in 4 fantastic South Island trips when our borders were closed and van rental costs much reduced for us Kiwis. Like you Alyssa, I'd like to buy one of the Wilderness vans. Nah! Can't afford it. I hope the increased food costs didn't smash your budget! Thanks for returning and welcome to Hairy Maclary. Cheers!
I can't remember if it was your guy's Wilderness trip or KYD's I saw first, but I found you when I was searching "Campervan New Zealand" when we were planning our own first campervan trip around the South Island. We hired Wilderness because of your videos. Since then, we now have our own caravan we purchased in 2021 and we have been from one end of the country to the other with it. Thank you for helping us to find this awesome way of exploring our country.
awesome!!! welcome back. like many comments already, we stumbled across your channel searching NZ campervanning and now follow your adventures. we have now purchased an ex rental and also try and get away in it as much as possible. We live North Island(wellington), there are sooooo many places to visit and see you can never get around them in the first trip. Have fun, sorry about food prices and petrol. some apps are handy for searching, reading the comments can give you an idea of where to stay(rankers, campermate, THL), Taupo has an amazing camp ground for families,' lake taupo resort'...or theres debretts(more for adults). Coromandel hotwater beach(dig your own hot pool)...Oh, could go on forever.....have fun
Welcome to New Zealand. Yes, pak n save os the best place to shop and try to save some dollars as everything is so expensive here , where you camped on your 1st night which is Little Waikawau on the Firth of Thames, this is only 2hrs from our home . This is one place we love to go camping in our motorhome as well
welcome back!! I discovered your vlogs about your first trip here to NZ, and have followed you to places i would love to visit. thankyou and enjoy the north! One day come back down to the south, ok? CHEERS. :)
I live in NZ approximately 30 mins from Thames. My entire family pack up every year and go camping at the Papa Aroha holiday park. To us, the Thames Coast and Coromandel are very special places. I bought a motorhome a year ago and he had his first 'Paps' trip this year in the worst summer I think we've ever had, but we stuck it out - literally as all the roads were closed at 1 point- and still had a blast! Fishing, walking, playing cards and just hanging out as a family. All the places you are filming are very familiar to us. Have a great trip!
Just started watching this, I am so jealous!! I'm sure I'm going back again now. I hope you sit in the sulfur mud pools. Just a warning, my bathing suit STILL smells like sulfur along with some of my black t-shirts from 4 yrs ago!! Buy cheap throw away suits. Also, cathedral cove is a MUST DO. There is an amazing little restaurant where you get off and on the bus. They served the food on wood slabs. Im super excited for you guys!!
Where is your camp spot in this video? Is it in the Thames area? I hope you enjoyed the North Island. Hoping you got out on a boat in the Bay of Islands. Can’t wait to see where else you went.

Hi!! We love your content. My fiancé and I are visiting NZ for our honeymoon and we’ve rented the same van 😍 this makes us even more excited. Did you find that the size of the motorhome restricted you while exploring NZ? We want to be able to go everywhere during our six weeks😂

How wonderful! And I can’t wait to see how you like Coromandel, a very wonderful part of the world.

Love this Craig. The campervan path is a pretty incredible way to explore a country. Love that our original videos helped spur that on.
I know the feeling. Arrive in NZ, pick up a Wilderness Motorhome and go straight to Pac and Save. We do the same thing.❤
It’s a good feeling!

It’s such a gorgeous area!!
Ellie's hair is so cute! She looks older, too. I've been to Australia but not NZ, and you all are very convincing about the rest of us going there.
As soon as we cut it I thought the same thing 😭. Looks so much older
I love that you love our regular grocery store! Awesome. If you’re in Tauranga/Mount area we’ll look after you!
😂 my love language is pastry
These travels will be something your kids pass on to their kids and revisit places! Such wonderful memories!!
I hope so :)
I love your video's! We are going back to New-Zealand with our kids too beginning of next year. (after the honeymoon in 2016). So I am being inspired
So excited to get to enjoy this adventure with your family.

Cathedral cove was closed from the cyclone so we didn’t get to go! I was so bummed.
@@heathandalyssa well that settles it, you have to go back in a few years.

Looks like Little Waikawau north of Thames 🤔 lovely spot

Welcome back sorry about the food prices it’s out of control.
It’s out of control in the states too. At least at pak n save the muffins help ease the financial blow.
Okay does it get any cuter than Ellie’s expression with ‘There’s a shower! ‘ 😂 So excited to see New Zealand through your travels! 👍😊🌸
Whether it’s cup holders or showers we are at peak excitement when touring a new home on wheels 😂
Hi there - can you tell us the cost to rent your RV and give us some idea of your cost for fuel - does this get good gas mileage???
We have some detailed numbers here heathandalyssa.com/how-much-does-it-cost-to-campervan-new-zealand/
