Another reason I would like to add is spleef isn’t really a skill expressive game. Games like minecraft, csgo, league of legends, and even minigames like skywars and bedwars are really popular even after a decade is because the gap of new players and old players is so big where it causes for new players to aspire to be as good as old players while there is a drive for old players to innovate and push the boundaries of the game. If those games don’t recieve any updates for multiple years, I’m sure that they’ll still hold a massive playerbase due to the skill expression alone. Games that lack depth like among us, jackbox, and fall guys tend to be a a one off thing because it is really hard to hold the player’s attention when it feels like they are not progressing the game in terms of skill.
I get what you're saying, but I feel that Spleef does have a decent amount of skill to it. Certainly not a deep game by any means, but there's a little technique to it, even if it isn't as visually obvious or easy to express as in something like Skywars. Thanks for your comment, really good points :)
The modes you mentioned (like PowerSpleef, MiniSpleef, Teamspleef) and the possibility of prize pools did exist very much for Spleef on SpleefLeague (the former main server of competitive Spleef). But it is quite simple in my opinion if a gamemode isn't on a big minecraft server, then it's very difficult to market it at all. SpleefLeague is still online, but now completely dead as far as I know and the staff has given up on Marketing completely since 2020.
Wow, you made me feel old. I used to play spleef all the time, and would build my own spleef arenas on my multiplayer servers. I haven't even heard of or played "ender spleef" or the other versions you mentioned, lol
If the author does not mind, then I can leave servers that continue the achievements of splindux and spleef league, both in large numbers with an influx of players, and in small communities

About Tumble, you said that it's the same than Spleef, but I disagree for 2 (3) reasons: - First, there aren't evil shovels which break 20 blocks per second, It works with the player's cps. - Second, the gap... or ping from the old services of Wii U and PS3 consols. - Occasionally, we play with controller (Wii U gamepad, PS3 controller). It's actually quite funny to see that we all have completely different control parameters. 😄 I think Tumble and Spleef are completely different. There are more than two play style as I've seen in Spleef... I'll let you check these videos if you'd like to make up your own mind: - PS3 ruclips.net/video/jq5ooSdibrs/видео.htmlsi=QqEx04J5RgC_0VRC - Wii U (PS3 player) ruclips.net/video/cNhrecsbFik/видео.htmlsi=fkoWMcxlMGUBtvN6 - Wii U ruclips.net/video/InLM7ORVnwc/видео.htmlsi=gWZMHJQtYWYeVinE Personally when I watch a Spleef gameplay, I know that I can't win easily even if I'm playing against a beginner. However I'm the same type than those in this videos... What about you ?
is there a spleef plugin for 1.20.1 spigot? i would like to play some simple spleef with my niece a server ive set up. Perhaps just using a area resetter plugin?

Always good to see a magmamelon upload. Also I was curious, is your channel name inspired by magmamusen?
No, I've been asked that before - just a coincidence.
