Hey guys! Accumulating the data for this was so painful but I managed to make it work. I hope you all enjoy this one (first 20th century animation as well!!). Stay tuned for what is next...and for November 7. it can never be perfect lol: in the season statistics section, it is supposed to say 33 TD's and 31 TS's, not 31 and 29
I'm sure one day you'll make a crazy impressive animation of the season 23 years later, featuring never before seen features! For now, keep up the amazing work!!!!
Honestly this might be the best animation ive ever seen (Yes better than F13) Mainly due to the Detail and thought you always put into these animations. the music choices too are just great!!! Keep up the good work and Hope you get to 1K Soon! Honestly though, you should be at 10K or 100K ngl
Probably the most notable Weat Pacific Typhoon Season due to how much ACE it accumulated and also the number of Category 5s it had, In addition, I feel like it needs more attention in general, this animation will be fire! Also, I wonder if you'll do 20th Century Season animations for the Atlantic cuz that would be Great
The 1997 WPAC Season featured the "Doubles" namely Ivan and Joan! The season top out 550ACE+ this is rarely seen across the globe. Oliwa and Paka are also notable this season due to their crossovers in the Central Pacific. Paka became the most ACE producer in 1990s period, topping out 65ACE+. The season started off with TS Hannah peaking as high-eng TS, followed by Isa first C5 in the year, after Isa. Nestor became the second C5 of the year peaking a low-end C5, after Nestor, Winnie the storm that is notable due to its large Eye diameter on record tied with Typhoon Carmen. After that Bing is the storm that is a ALMOST C5! Just before making landfall in Japan. Linda became notable due to its large fatalities in Thailand and a rare storm in the Region to make landfall as a C1. Ivan and Joan make the season more CURSED with their peaks both getting 175mph+ winds and both of these storms are ACE MACHINE Producer in terms of their ACE produced. Keith is the storm which followed Ivan and Joan legacy peaking as a 180mph storm. Finally, we have Paka tied with Ivan and Joan in terms of wind speeds as a Strongest Storms of the year. Paka also became the 3/2nd storm on record in WPAC to produce More than 60ACE!!!
Category 5 Hurricanes : [some spoilers] 2:34 | Major Hurricane Isa 4:41 | Major Hurricane Nestor 6:23 | Major Hurricane Rosie [ Elang ] 7:24 | Major Hurricane Winnie [ Ibiang ] 8:50 | Major Hurricane Oliwa 9:24 | Major Hurricane Ginger 10:41 | Major Hurricane Ivan [ Narsing ] 10:41 | Major Hurricane Joan 11:26 | Major Hurricane Keith 12:57 | Major Hurricane Paka [ Rubing ]
Linda is often overshadowed by not just the entire basin, but the other Linda in EPAC which also stole the spotlight. People in the region have called it one of the worst storms ever, its just unfortunate it shared a name with another storm and being in such a big season.
@@nxthanj of course it was devastating in Thailand, but the most of the deaths came from Vietnam indeed, only in Vietnam over 3000 has lost their lives, meanwhile in Thailand was about 124
Just a side thing: The 1997 season was slightly significant to Hong Kong due to the fact that Victor caused a Signal 9 or Increasing Gale or Storm Signal to the region, which is the first since 1983. Land observations however suggested it weakening to a severe tropical storm just before landfall, and thus a Signal 10 was not needed at the time.
the most insane seasons in wpac always comes from the list 3 pre-2001 pagasa naming list (atring, bining, kuring) 1) 1965 - a lot of super typhoons, 5th most active season worldwide behind 1964, 1994, 1967, and 1971) 2) 1973 - featured marge and nora 3) 1985 - featured two tropical storms active at once during the month of january, first and only case of this happening) 4) 1989 - one of the most active seasons in WPAC, my favorite season of all time 5) 1993 - most active season for PAGASA, with 33 tropical cyclones inside the PAR 6) 1997 - highest amount of category 5 storms and ACE recorded in a single season globally

Dude I Love your videos! In my opinion they are better edited than Force thirteen! you just earned yourself a Sub!
thanksss haha
It's a crime that you don't have at least 3K subs, you should have so much more than 900.
No cracks or sign of unprofessionality. Well crafted.
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for providing us with high quality content as always!
here we go, the year of the category 5
16 category 5's is incredible for a season honestly. this shows how active the west pacific can be.

Yeah because largest eye ever recorded
Super Typhoon Ivan (Narsing) is the only Category 5 storm to make landfall in Northeastern Cagayan at its peak intensity.
The phenomenal double cat5!
yeah an ace of 510+ is definetly normal
jokes aside, this is amazing
can I use your icons?
no sorry, they r too large to transfer and i want to keep originality
without a title you would've thought this was a new hypothetical

yeah, linda was extremely devastating for thailand, had to mention it in the summary
@@nxthanj of course it was devastating in Thailand, but the most of the deaths came from Vietnam
