I have to remove the yellow on it because we were told our bus had too much yellow on it. so they painted blue lines. Simple repainted red green orange take away the school thing with the name of the restaurant. It's a good idea but it's still might be an insurance liability that they may not realize.
The city is telling them to remove the outdoor seating sheds that they have to build fully decked out for customers to enjoy to only then rip it apart and then apply for permission on yearly basis to be allowed to build one....but this is on the premise that you've removed the previous construction.....how does that make any sense?!!!

I sold a school bus once to a woman in Finland I believe it was and she had it shipped over there. She wanted something that was uniquely American cause they were making it into a restaurant that served American food.

Simple solution would be for the business to rent an appriote size store for their business, with their money, and not rely on the city or its residents to subsidize their very profitable business. The bigger issue is the removal of the dining sheds. The one good thing that came from COVID was extended patio dining. Now instead, they're being replaced by non revenue generating cars rather than hundreds of paying patrons per block.
The bus is legally parked and registered. The DOT are being crybabies that people are using the public space designated for the parking of private vehicles as parking for private vehicles. I’m against street parking in general for quite a few reasons and I think the ban on proper outdoor dining spaces is ridiculous but it’s especially ridiculous to act like this is somehow illegal just because they don’t like it
The DOT needs to be cut down on regulations more. They don't realize it, but this is actually better than having fixed or permanent structures like the other restaurants have because unlike those restaurants, this pizzeria can simply move the bus if needed (street sweeping, emergency vehicles in area, etc.).

This is a very efficient solution to the problem of temporary dining. It's on wheels, can move way easier than a shed, and can even be moved for street cleaning! I don't think this counts as a structure, it's still a running vehicle, and therefore, I believe they are legally within their right to continue offering this method of outdoor dining. But I am no lawyer. I would consult with one about this, because they might say similar, the only thing I can see them mentioning is the liability of it being near the roadway, something an outdoor dining shed already would've been.

The work around is still valid. Hire a bus driver and call it a party bus those that order for dine out on the bus must order a certain amount and the bus basically just drives around for 30 minutes to an hour while they dine.
I had to sign a lease and pay a contractor to make heavy renovations when I expanded my food store to accommodate more customers which resulted in my monthly rent tripling , these guys should be required to do the same , imagine if this is allowed it would further destroy the city of New York

Its not meant for permannant bus parking to the restaurants can have twice the square footage they have in the space they lease. Imagine if all business started doi g this. Imagine other businesses using box trucks for storage outside their businesses. Imagine people using vans and parking them in neighborhoods rather then reting storage spaces.
If the city wants a permit to make money then create one and limit the amount that can be given out for spacing. Perhaps 1-2 a block. Create size height and size requirements etc. This is a workable issue and only make them available in certain neighbourhoods.

If they want more seats, then they should buy a bigger space. Public parking spots exist for the public use, not to provide extra rent-free space for the enrichment of private businesses.

why not its decommished from public service give it new life as a vendors truck so it's has space too eat inside ? you have outdoor spaces closing off roads for people too dine outside but its form an old school bus incase it rains/snows I say he's above the law no harm done
