To be clear, the Zoom recordings are just a backup for me in case something weird happens. On my shows, each host records their own microphone locally and that is what is edited together for the final show that goes out to the world.
These sorts of short videos are so, so great. The system preferences one was helpful to me to find an icon which had decided to disappear on its own. Please make more as you have time!
If your podcast uses sound effects via a program like SoundByte or wants to play music via Apple Music, how would one use Audio Hijack or Zoom for the remote co-host to be able to hear my audio elements through the Zoom?
Does remote interviewee on Zoom have to hit "record" too, on their own independent of you the Host hitting Record? And the big one, I believe I need to have them email me the .m4A file of their own recording?
If you record via zoom, you’ll have a track of the guests audio, as your computer heard it, so you’ll still want them to record audio locally on their end.
@@512Pixels So is the best quality to 1) Host (me podcast host) records the Zoom interview in Audio Hijack, but Host does NOT hit record on Zoom? And allow guest to record Zoom on their end? I'm struggling with all these different qualities, and haven't produced an Audio Hijack that is bette quality than the Zoom recording that I then edit in Audacity. Ug.

Still amazes me that after all these years and the popularity of podcasts that skype and zoom with double ended recording is still the best solution
