Supporting my family by cutting myself out of their spending and helping them however I can.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's never easy losing someone. Especially not a younger sibling. It's nowhere near the same but I recently lost my father and it hit me hard. I am far more sensitive or emotional towards things that remind me of him. But anyway don't mind me trauma dumping. The best thing you can do is live for the person you lost. Keep their memory alive.

I have a little sister, I like hugs. She doesn't or any physical contact for that matter from family. I told her she needs to work out more, teased her skinny arms by squeezing her biceps, and she cried and told me it felt like physical abuse, and felt like her personal space was violated attributed me with my father who had a history of abuse... offended, i apologized and stopped being brotherly or close... she seems to favor friends over family, I only hope for the best for her when I'm gone.

Being an older brother myself, I often would tell my mother I didn’t want ice cream let’s say, when in reality I did just so my younger brothers were happy as we lay just above the poverty line for a few years.
I basically threw away my own happiness, even on Christmas I never asked for much only getting a couple smaller gifts while my brothers got big presents, this isn’t to criticise my parents, they’re both loving I guess it’s just a brotherly instinct.
In regards to bottling up feelings, I done that also, cause I didn’t want to concern my family with my mental health and such and let them focus on my brothers

Some personal info I'm sharing just because?
I've been blessed with a mother, father and brother who once best me up thinking I was taking solvents but I was just playing with a makeshift flamethrower. 3 people I know I could say anything to and they'd always come back but also 3 people I'm afraid that's the last thing they'd hear from me because my mum suddenly went into shock and hallucination due to sever dehydration 3 years ago. I was staying over because my dad noticed she wasn't drinking but we had no idea she would revert to a child crying for her dad and not recognizing us anymore.
Let me tell u, cherish every moment u can because since then the shit u see on TV that u think is exaggerated is toned down to 1. Also if curious she'll never be able to recover her eating habits again not walk for long periods anymore but we've been on 5 holidays together since and before that we once went on 1 holiday in the past decade and it wasn't never all together.
