this is a great tutorial, thank you!!! for anyone else struggling with the cup shell borders facing the same way: crochet one side as normal, and then for the shell part of the other cup, you insert your hook from back to front . hope this helps!!
What she’s saying is crochet on the opposite side and maybe yarn under if you find difficulty, just experiment and find something that works or do another border that matches the count of your stitch
the top is so cute!! the video quality is great too! usually its so hard for me to tell what people are doing when they use white or black yarn but its so easy to see
For the big booby gals: I never though this top would work for me but I made the cups bigger and just kept lacing the tie in the middle up the front for more support (33:56). I also made the shoulder straps longer and crossed them in the back and looped them through the outer edges of the cups and it worked so well and feels so secure!!
I actually thought this was a very good tutorial!! THIS WAS MY FIRST TOP and it came out amazing, thank you so much!! I would say that before doing this top, make sure you are familiar with the different stitches like double crochet, single crochet, etc. and be prepared to modify the pattern due to your unique size :)
Your pattern is fantastic!!! I finished this in two days total and I loved the outcome!!! Very nice explanations and you made this so easy and fun. Thank you!
Hi, great tutorial you're extremely talented! It would help visual learners like myself if we could see the work after every row or so properly in order to compare with our own to check if done correctly, oftentimes I think I've done it right by just watching and listening to your guidance however when you show what it looks like it looks different to mine, took me three times to figure my mistake out before I realised what you were doing. I also think instead of skipping progress, to just make the video long and those who are finding it easier can just pause until they're ready for the next step or skip it!
at first i was a bit frustrated because i consider my self plus size so trying to figure out sizing was interesting but i do loveeee this tutorial. i get what everyone is saying about this tutorial being confusing or unclear but i just think that this isn’t beginner friendly although it is on the easier side. since ive made tops and have been crocheting for a while and have experience i felt a bit more motivated to figure it out. moral of my story is if yall really wanna make it, you’ll make it. also the written pattern SO CUTE and helpful❤️
It's very odd to me that people are saying this is complicated because I usually struggle so much with learning something new but this video and your pattern made it so easy thank you❤
To make the second cup face the right way: I switched which side the increase was on Had to cut off my yarn at the end of my last row (since it wasn't on the increase side) and then just slip stitched back to the increase side where you then make the edges and the strap. For the shell edging, I worked backward. So I cut my yarn after making the strap, put 2 sc into each row along the bottom, put 5dc in the starting loop then did the shells all the way up until I met back with my strap.
took me about 5ish weeks to finish because i accidentally chose a much thinner yarn than you BUT it ended up coming out so pretty and light and lacy!! almost gave up but im glad i stuck with it. now i have a gorgeous lightweight summer top made by ME! thank you for this awesome tutorial
hi nikita!! this is the 2nd top i’ve made with your tutorials and i love it Soso much!! came out gorgeous. thank you so much for your generousity in this being free and for your efforts in giving us written patterns ❤
This is the second shirt I ever crocheted and the first one to turn out great! Even though it might seem tricky, once you get the hang of it, even if the sizing is different than yours, I found your instructions pretty intuitive to follow. Thank you soooo much!!! I love it!
took me a few tries to understand the pattern more but i’ve got it down and so far have finished the first cup! for those stuck, what helped me the most was reminding myself that the ch 2 spaces also counted as a stitch!! now onto the next cup🫡
omg i love this top sm! i crocheted it for my holiday along with the mesh sweater (which i turned into a beach dress) and it is my favourite one that i have made. you are my all time favourite crochet youtuber!!! I LOVE YOU ❤️
Bless your heart! Thank you for this. At first I was confused but then I caught on and replayed the video. You explained everything perfectly once again thank you I am so grateful
I'd say I'm a beginner, I did a few projects... Not so much tho. And I did this top in three days, with no problem. The instructions were clear, you're so talented!! I'm seriously in love with this top 😍🎀
Thank you. I just started knitting and crochet a couple of months ago and it's all I want to do. I really want to make a full lace top this should be helpful. You have a new subscriber ♥

I hope you can reply cause I got one question. Let's say in the video you create the Left cup side and you've done it, what about the size of the other cup the Right side? Is it same size to the first one you created or nah?? Please ASAP reply so that I will be able to follow and create this beaut top!! 🥺❤️
@@nikitanightingale OMG you replied to me haha amazing. Ohh okay I see they're same size for both Left n' Right. I hope i can do this beaut top as for my very first attempt to crochet a top hehe. Hope you can do 2pcs bikini selftie from Pinterest idea also like for eg triangle top that has adjustable then Highcut bottom. Thank you sm for this wonderful tutorial and easy to understand!! Love you girl from now on I'm one of ur solid subribers!! And btw your soooo beautiful hehe 🥺🤍🤍🤍
first time ever making a top & i just made this for my bestie!! i loved the video & pattern combo, the only thing i had trouble with was the side boob edges of the cups. decided to just to not do em & add an extra row instead :))
Attention big boobed ladies! I have a 38DDD chest, so I ended up starting with 11 chains, but I _used a magic circle_ to start. If you chain 11 as a start, the hole is too big and I questioned my nipples’ exposure. With the magic circle first row instead of 11 chains, it allowed me to tighten the hole to a minimum. Then, continue as normal with the rest of her pattern. I frogged about a dozen bra cups as I went through the process of elimination for what works. When you start the cup with 11 and a magic circle, I tightened after I finished row 2’s 11 double crochets. It might look like a half circle when you start building up your rows, but it will grow to look more like a full coverage version of her cup. When trying it on, it still has that tapered looking neckline, so fret not and trust the process. Hope this helps! Remember that adapting patterns to your body’s proportions is okay and to not be too much of a stickler when starting new projects. (I say this because during this past week of frogging, I had to tell myself to stop being such a stickler and to experiment. 😂 That’s how I came to try the magic circle.)
@@clover395i didn’t follow the maths tbh i just crocheted what fit me best and finished each row my own way, as long as you can make the edges straight it should be fine
Super tutorial ! I really don't get the comments saying "it doesn't make sense", I found everything very clear, but maybe it's not for beginners ? Anyway thanks a lot ✨
Thank you this tutorial was easy to follow and very clear!! while i loved the result i had trouble with the cups being too revealing and i had to frankenstein 4 more layers of double crochet where the shells went to make it so i dont flash my nipples every second😅. it feels mean to say this but for others i do recommend using a different tutorial for the cups. Just the cups tho the rest of the pattern is very clean and nice tho🫶

This is a really pretty top but this video is insanely hard to follow… you explain something and crochet like a whole row before you mention that people who started with 7 or 9 chains should do something different so then we have to go back and undo everything we just did. Also the written instructions are not detailed and hard to follow
i hate when this happens too so now i watch the full tutorial before starting. that way i can take all tips into consideration and have a better idea of what to do.

I love this tutorial! But sadly my cup edges don’t look as smooth as yours do… especially the parts where you turn your row and continue with single crochets:(
Thank you for this tutorial! It was pretty easy to follow. I did mine in light blue and purple and I feel like a beautiful mermaid lol. I would like to add, though, that the cups for this top are a little small for people with bigger chests. I think that the height of the top is difficult to adjust b/c when making the top, you're really only adding to the length. For mine, it was difficult to close the top all the way. Overall, it's a beautiful pattern, and most crochet tops have the same problem so 🤷♀
can’t wait to make this!!!! has anyone tried with 4 weight yarn instead of 3?? i would rather use what i have at home but i’m scared it won’t come out right! ty!!
ive made it with a weight 4 yarn and it turned out great! keep in mind that if you size up your yarn and your hook it will end up being a slightly bigger size though.
