It's bittersweet listening to this. It's so beautiful, but stuff Deaner never wanted to see the light of day. They had to steal this tape from his car and then the guy traded it away.

@Derek McCumber The cool thing about being a musician is what your create belongs to YOU. You can hold/hear/look at it and know that you were the genesis of it all. Being in a band that has a cult following, I'm sure he RARELY gets to keep that feeling going as it is released to his fans. I totally understand wanting to have something that wasn't for anyone else but yourself...but no. Leave it to fanatics to invade....truly bummer.

This collection of demos sequences together works as an album, right alongside their best stuff. That, to me, is a testament to the greatness of Ween
Ween is truly just layers of amazing that you can dig through endlessly.

It was so Philly back in the day! Everyone knew each other in the neighborhood and hung out. Its changed a lot since then but I keep wanting to go back every year!

LBI is an amazing place. Been there every summer from baby to now at 41yrs. There is a special feeling being there. It is the best of NJ beaches! Great fishing for Mickey! Love you guys! Best band post Zappa.

As others have stated, the story is that this demo tape was stolen from Deaner's car and the band did not want it publicly released.
I think there is some irony in the fact that we love the band so much that we can't respect their wishes. This has to be shared! (The first thing I did upon discovering it was rip a copy from RUclips to my computer).
Thanks for posting this, Gaf Respih. And thanks to the boys for somehow being so brown that the Boognish decided to come upon them. wEEn have brought so much joy into my life over the past 25 years or so.

it was actually called the Baroque Jam until right, right before WP came out. there are actually unmastered promo copies of WP out there that still have it listed as that.
some of these unreleased tracks are better than songs from their released albums. wash me down is excellent. also i love the lo fi demo sound. i personally dont care for over produced sound in general.

Think of how amazing Bananas and Blow turned out once they polished it in the studio. IMAGINE IF THEY DID THE SAME FOR ALL THESE TRACKS!!! I mean how do you explain the very underwhelming La Cucaracha when songs like this exist? I love Ween but sometimes I feel like they can't get out of their own way.
