aether doesnt require its portals to be 5 blocks tall and 4 blocks wide, it's just the standard size most videos used.
I think the old aether required that, but that it doesn't anymore
he made bigger portals in later part of the video :P

yeah well the trains cant fit through small portals
If immersive portals will work then you could stack the dimensions, that will allow you to build a train from the Aether to the Overworld
Make it go from the Nether to the Overworld to the Aether
Call it the Dante Express
But sadly immersive portals doesn't work with create

3:27 i imagine its because of how that is implemented. it looks more like a teleport than a portal, which neither create or the aether are expecting, so they dont handle it
imagine create trains with the immersive portals mod, that would be so cool!

Imagine Building a Venator-class Attack Cruiser from Star Wars and building it's Starfighter Complement as 96 V-wing Starfighters, 96 A-wing Starfighters, 96 X-wing Starfighters, 36 ARC-170 Starfighters along with Y-wing Starfighters and Z-95 Headhunters and 40 LAAT/i Republic Gunships and 24 AT-TE Walkers and Fighting in the Aether (Ay-ther) with them all?
Shalz is insane wiht editing but the most important thing about him is his personality and reaction

what you said at the beginning of the video brought back memories of when i used to not know how to play modded or get mods and i tried to make modded stuff in vanilla and it never worked😂
you can use ~ ~ ~ instead of coordinates in commands and it will execute the command at the location of the thing that executed it
i didnt explain that well, so like doing ~ ~-1 ~ will run the command 1 block under whatever executed the command

shalz you can send trains down to the overworld you just have to put train tracks on the other side it works like the nether portal

2:05 we had one of the funniest moments
I remember seeing the aether mod and thinking that it was part of regular mc, I was playing on the old pocket edition just after the Nether portal replaced the nether core reactor, and making the glowstone portal for it to not work. I was sad and gave up after searching it up and finding out it was only a Java edition mod, which then I downloaded and played for a bit. Anyone think the same?

I wish I had minecraft and a computer and create mod
One thing you might want is Quark - in addition to other features (which you can turn off if you won’t want them in the video), it lets you aim at the air under/over or behind a block to place it there even though you can’t aim there.
Additionally, the items aren’t teleporting when they reach y=0, they are just voiding out
