Cut the peat bags across the top turn them inside a out so black side is on the outside, fill with peat and stab some holes near the bottom for drainage and add three inches of peat and then add two potatoes with roots and just cover with peat. Water a bit and wait to they show some leaves, then cover with more peat. Keep watering a bit, roll the sides of the bag up as they grow until about a foot high then just keep watering until time to harvest the potatoes. U can keep them in the sun by a wall.
Well, on the plus side of RUclips unsubscribing me from your channel, is that now I have a few episodes to binge watch lol. Making my way through them.
Just saw this vlog and you really need what we have in the states called a cow back scratcher for your ‘naughty nine’ !!!! They can be motorized or manual. It could really help your fence, trees & shrubs!!!
As a chiropractor I have to admit I did have to look away as Johnny lifted and moved those heavy stones. Please tell Mr X that I am willing to be flown to France from Toronto monthly to provide therapy ....LOL!
Another great fun vlog. Keep them coming. You were so careful with the little baby birds. It was so sweet of you to keep checking on them. It was a lovely surprise to see and hear my name mentioned. Thank you. Yes I do talk to my plants. Usually I just ask them to grow and tell them they are beautiful 😁 x
I do beg a lot with my garden plants and flowers , usually pleading with them not to die, maybe I should be telling them how beautiful they are also....I'll keep you posted! hehe xx
Fantastic as always 👏. It's a great joy to watch you both in your mini films and all the animals. You really make us smile. Can't wait for the next adventure.
Love your determination to move those bolders! Reminds me of my pond building summer when flagstones were being dragged home to edge the pond. Neighbours were cheering me on, even their children who would collect small stones in their wagons and pile them at my door. The day I turned the water on to fill the pond, everyone came over to celebrate. I would have served smores had I known about the treat. ♥️ from 🇨🇦.
Wonderful. Can't wait to see it first hand in the summer! I talk to my food and pour love in that but need to get more green fingered like you Ashley 🥰
Hi.. You sheep are cute.. You should get them a rubbing brush! It looks like a giant bottle brush made for livestock. They can give themselves a good scratch/ massage.. Xx
You do make me giggle,l am always saying to my husband use the trolly so he ignores me and struggles with the pots to prove what! We have a fire pit and we enjoy toasting marshmallows ,still working our socks off after 57 yrs together, that why l want him to use the trolly! love seeing you both such fun, thankyou.
This was so .much fun in the one video...lots of different stuff and you two are great foils for each other.look out for a surprise in the post...something to do with sossage dogs, but not really...mysterioso.
Coming into winter here in Christchurch, New Zealand. There’s a nip in the air, snow on the southern alps and we’ve had out first -2° frost. I miss the summer already!
Well it was worth the wait what hard work, your poor back, young or old it can hurt. Can’t wait to see the Fire Pit working when the rain stops. Just as bad in the UK. Very chilly, windy and WET. Take care.
(Moira Ashton) Well I bet you ached the next day, 😱😱😱 I think the stones look nice as they are, without being cleaned... hope the baby birds are coming along nicely!!! The sheep were so funny rubbing on that tree!! Love the herb bed!!! 😍🥰
A proper potagerie in the walled garden would be absolutely amazing. Walled gardens are specifically designed to grow fruit and vegetables using nature and the weather to its best . The first thing you need to find out is the orientation of the garden, which wall is north, south, east and west. Different directions create different microclimates and can shorten or lengthen your growing season. I’m a disabled lady who gardens using raised beds…. Mine are waist high to make them accessible for me but I do advise you use raised beds if only using old scaffolding boards then in Autumn cover the ground with either weed membrane , old carpet or cardboard pinned down which will kill off any grass or weeds then you can just dig the soil over once and top up each early spring with compost and well rotted manure. As soon as you can even before you start the garden, build yourself some compost bins…. You can do this easily using old pallets. Make at least three bins, one for leaf mould where you just put old leaves off trees etc. One for all “ green waste” so grass cuttings and vegetable waste….potato and vegetable peelings, eggshells, tea leaves ,ground coffee granules. DONT put any cooked food , raw meat or rice or pasta in it will attract rats which you definitely don’t want. Also don’t add the brambles or bamboo 😝. The first bin with the green waste you can add small amounts of shredded paper to, but not too much, twice a year fork it over to aerate it. Within 12/18 months you’ll have the most amazing sweet smelling compost/soil for your garden. Once the first one is full start the second one and you’ll have a continuous supply. You can add some of the sheep bedding but that might take longer because of the ammonia in their urine. If you have chickens you can add chicken poo to compost too. The leaf mould bin is easy just add the leaves and leave to mulch down again over 12/18 months and you’ll have amazing leaf mould you can use as mulch for the garden beds or flower pots which helps suppress weeds but also helps retain moisture. Just one last thing! Jonny you’re amazing, I know you’re strong and fit now…. But take it from someone who also used to be very strong and could lift and move anything, then one day I damaged my back lifting a resident when working at a care home. Now I’m virtually crippled and can’t walk without the aid of crutches. So please, please protect your back, we only have one and our bodies are so precious. When you can’t do what you want to do it is very frustrating and depressing and you’re too young for that to happen. Love to you all xx
Hey Sarah....thank you for all of the above info and advice, we are taking it all on board! Sorry to hear about your back and I definitely agree with you, I'm certainly not the young puppy I was or sometimes think I am lol but doing my best to look after myself.........thanks again xxxx
great job, i would reccomend a better camera or a new phone atleast up to 1080p so its easier to watch a lot of shots are blurry and you guys have great content
I had looked into this a couple of years ago when something similar happened when I had to return nestlings back into their nests and I did look it up the evening after this incident, but my research showed that birds have a poor sense of smell and is kind of a myth? Anyways, the important thing is that mother bird had returned and all are well and chirpy and doing great.
What a clever pair you are! Enjoying all your
creative videos 🥰
May I say your vlog is excellent 👌 Thankyou to you both xx
Thank you!!!

Hello from SD California. Love your vlogs. Specifically all the artwork you both have created. Keep it up. 💕
Omg you make me laugh!! I 😂🤣
I wish I could watch escape to the chateau diy in Ok.
Looks like you need some old fashion Roman technology to move those stones. I see a block & tackle in Johnny's future.
Life’s little struggles....Johnny definitely deserves s’more.

Yes talk to them.
I always say 'morning and how are you doing' to the seedlings in my greenhouse.
Yes, talk to your veggies, and all plants. They also like music.
Omg I actually believed that you had a real Mr X ha ha...very enjoyable video very clever :-) Susanne

Please check the stones, gravel, rock etc that is suitable for fires, some porous stone/rock can explode when heated.
Now this is going to be interesting❤️😍👏👏
Get a goat or two, they will eat all of the brambles in no time 👍☘️
How about Internet Service on the list for Mr. X?
Haha seriously need better WiFi!!!
Awesome 😎

It actually shoots in 4K but it would take days to upload. Sadly, even the low quality takes 13 hours to upload.
is there any internet cafes thats how i usually am able to get higher res ?@@chateaudelomenie
I think this lead time to premiere is too long too...
We’re not home and with spotty internet, I wanted to upload it so we didn’t miss a premiere this week.
Lol 😂 that was different ....... 👍😁
Try no dig ! You use cardboard if you look at some other RUclips videos
Next time use gloves to handle the birds that fall out of the nest or the mother will reject them because of the foreign smells on them.
