Child of the Light is my favorite Gold City song and one of the most underrated southern gospel songs of all time. Our men's group at church songs this song and I have the privilege to play the drums for them. I try to match the late Doug Riley on it, but I'm sure I fall short. Tremendous song!
Thanks for uploading this. I had never seen the "Answer The Call" album video. Looks like it was recorded the same night and place as KingsGold 1. They even wore the same suits!
This lineup ended much too soon! They were extraordinary... A true Dream Team Quartet. Here's my current "Dream Team Quartet: Ivan on lead, Steve Ladd on tenor, Mike Lefevre on baritone, Gene McDonald on bass and Taco on piano. How bout it guys? Y'all would be the modern day Masters Five!

This was Gold City at its peak…..no better group around!
They had an amazing sound, and this remains one of the most popular line-ups in their history!

I always loved and enjoyed GOLD CITY! They were absolutely unconditionally great! They were almost as good as the Cathedrals !
