  • How to Plant and Grow Nasturtiums in Balcony
In this video I will show you about how I plant Nasturtium from seeds in a flowerpot in the balcony, and how long it takes to grow. It must be noted that I am not an expert or a farmer, I cultivate things when the time is right and share my experiences with you who watch the video.
It must also be noticed that I live in a place that is colder than several places in the world, and therefore it takes longer to grow my plants and flowers.
I have planted this Nasturtiums in the month of April where it is around 10-15 degrees during the day and 5-10 degrees at night.

Not sure if my comment is valid but years ago when I planted, I kind of remember scraping each seed on something rough and then soaking it’s been too long, so I’m not sure how many germinated, but it seems like most of them

Beautiful plants thank you for this. Warm tap water is the dirtiest most nasty water you could use though, peace and love God bless!

      Thanks 🙏🏼
October is not planting time, you must start planting in March/April. I didn't used fertiliser because the soil was mixed some, but if it grows weak or something like that, it's fine to use fertiliser after planting.

“Only three (3) of the seeds germinated” - are you happy with that ?
I prefer a much higher germination rate, and thus find your video a lesson in How NOT To ! ! !

Even with the freshest of seeds, 50% germination isn’t guaranteed. Most of the time, i get good germination rate with the warm water soak.

I planted 20 seeds this year after 2-3 hours of soaking, and only 2 of them germinated.
I then planted another 20 seeds with no soaking, and none of them germinated.
I think I will try a 24 hour soak next time. I think nasturtiums must have a notoriously bad germination rate.
