    Stephen A. Smith just confirmed what Will Cain said. SAS be like, "Your'e wrong" and then, says exactly what you said, in a different way. Talkers who just want to hear themselves talk, always do that.

    • @ThomasFromTN
      @ThomasFromTN 5 лет назад +14

      You know - I'm inclined to agree...even before watching this segment. Having watched the segment, I will also say this...SAS is completely dismissing the interpretation of what Barkley said as posited by Cain, even Kellerman, when he focused on remarking how Barkley himself had once expressed displeasure with the media. First - if anything, it is often the person who has a PERSONAL relationship with an experience who can best identify its parallel in another person's circumstance, which doesn't make them a hypocrite. Second - what Barkley said did not sound like a knock against Irving, not really, if one accepts (which I do) the interpretation of the implication of the comment made by Cain and Kellerman. One could easily replace the word "unhappy" with miserable in Barkley's comment, and I'd bet a dollar and a quarter that it would track exactly with the same import meant by Barkley. Sometimes, SAS gives pretty good insights. Sometimes...he does seem to be in too much of a hurry simply to be heard.

    • @Israel-nb7ip
      @Israel-nb7ip 5 лет назад +2

      YES, Stephen A Smith loves the sound of his own voice...but I agree with him here on ONE thing, which is that attributing happiness to someone's wealth is a mistake. YES, Kyrie comes off as being out of touch by complaining to the media about his responsibilities BUT if he's legit dealing with depression, how much money he makes is irrelevant. There are stories for days of wealthy and famous people who've committed suicide because of unrelenting depression. Barkley is being monumentally simplistic about it even though Max is right that Kyrie is coming off as out of touch for complaining to the media about them doing their jobs.

      That is just not true. The media tries to find out whats going on so it is up to players like kyrie who hates speculation to just be open about everything. The media can only speculate when you don't put the truth out there. The media plays a big part in getting those players names out there and players like lebron understands that hence the reason he says certain things to them to expand his fan base. Kyrie can go play in china because that's where nothing matters but showing up on the court like a circus.

    • @mrjonsey
      @mrjonsey 5 лет назад

      L0ngstrip That’s not always the case. Why should Kyrie have to tell the media who he plans to sign with after the season? Why should he have to answer those questions? It’s HIS fault that people are linking KD, and himself to the Knicks? That’s the shit he’s talking about. They ain’t asking questions about the the game or the opponents. That’s why he understandably shut it down completely when he said, “Talk to me in June”.

      I wish I would be a fan of a good team that's lost a few games only to see the players acting happy after a loss! I'd SERIOUSLY question their competitiveness and tenacity if Kyrie acted all media friendly after losing! Like why is it hard to just say "they suffered a tough loss and Kyrie just isn't happy about losing" and leave it at that? The media would have you thinking he's a depressed, terrible leader on the verge of suicide!

    Kobe and Kyrie's personalities are both INTJ. They are like the black Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos of basketball. They live for the chess match and see little value in media hype and the party scene like Shaq (ESFP). INTJs are incredibly smart, strategic, and have no problem being alone because they rarely need others to make the best decision. The problem is they usually do not have great social skills, so its no surprise that Kobe and Kyrie have struggles building the rapport/leadership swagger they need. Unlike Lebron who is ENFJ.
    This explains their frustration with the media (pointless hype) and their teammates (lesser strategic minds) who can't get on their level, because people simply can't, unless they possess the same or similar personality, INTJ or ENTJ.

    Stephen A you are a hypocrite..You overblew the KD and Draymond altercation and immediately said he's leaving for the Knicks. You keep picking apart KDs every behavior and use that as ammo to push the media's "Kevin Durant is leaving for the Knicks" narrative.

      His mom died when he was four. That has A LOT to do with it. 0-7 years of age is when your psychological makeup is being formed. He spent most of his life honing his basketball skills, not curing his depression. Not surprising, and not surprising he is still depressed.

    The NBA’s media coverage is just horrible and that’s the problem. Why wouldn’t Kyrie feel some type of way when you guys are trying to make it seem as if the Celtics don’t need him and he can’t lead his own team. Lmaooo look at the teams they beat with Kyrie out. They beat most the same teams with him playing first of all and second of all OKC was the only team over 500 that the Celtics beat without Kyrie and it was only by 5 points with George shooting 11-27(who they beat by more points with Kyrie playing). They also beat the knicks and Cavs each twice (worst teams in NBA). The hawks, Kings, Mavs, pistons, Min, Hornets, all garbage teams. Come on now stop hating on Kyrie man. 😂 And to tell the truth the only reason is because he chose to leave Lebron before Lebron left him after already winning him a ring. The members of the media are still mad because it tainted Lebron’s legacy and they know he wasn’t going to be able to win without him.
