- The Toyota Corolla cross is the second best selling car in South Africa and it competes with SUVs such as the HAVAL Jolion. Haval recently launched a Jolion hybrid as an answer to the Corolla cross hybrid.

Hi Muzi. Great video. Regarding the Xi model: The new upgraded Xi was released a week ago, and now comes standard with the full LED package, upgraded the conventional radio for touchscreen infotainment system with rear view camera and the speedometer is also upgraded with the TFT multi-information display.
I read about this, sad coz I purchased a 2nd hand 2022 model Xi last December :( So all they did was add the Xs features to the Xi and now its a 2023 model. Toyota south africa is cheating us. How crazy is this, I had a 2008 Audi A4 and could role down all my windows the the key. In this toyota the manual says you must ask toyota to enable the functionality, but when I asked, they said that feature is not available in south africe. Why are we getting the lower grade versions!
So the only difference between the Xi and XS model now is the leather seats? Ag, they might as well...
@@WinstonHarris hi Winston. Leather seats, leather steering wheel and climate control…and i think there is air vents for the rear passengers. But still not wort the extra money imo. 🙂

I got this car in October 2022, similar XS. It’s not for spirited driving vele, Muzi is right @ half throttle the CVT is good, drive it like a vw and it will scream shame. I found myself driving more like an old man with this car, it seriously is not for a speedster. The only thing that pisses me off with this car is the small fuel tanks. From empty to full I’ve never put more than 38.5 liters. Which means around 400km of range, that is small. Otherwise it’s a great car if you want a vehicle that takes you from point A to point B with a raised axle. 😂
I’ve been driving this car since March last year and share the exact same experience 😢, I was even considering going to the Hybrid model to maybe decrease the fuel consumption… hopefully get a longer range
I know this is not what you look for in a car like this Bafo but is it any responsive say you wanna overtake, and how does it perform uphill?
I test drove it, terrible driving experience in my experience, it was screaming at just 80km/hr!!?. Ended up going for the Kia Seltos, it drives smoother.
