Thank you from Eastern Oregon! I was given a ukulele a few yrs ago and it sat collecting dust until last February. I surprised my husband so much that he bought me a banjolele for my birthday last September. Fingerpicking is my kryptonite! I love your videos - you have a great teaching style and ease.

Found your channel after buying a 25th anniversary Kanile while in Kauai. I’ve played guitar since I was in my teens but never really embraced it.. I’m 53 and I’m loving this Ukulele stuff.

Hey, Kevin. John from Mesquite, TX, right next to Dallas. 72 years old, and returning to my first stringed instrument from 60 years old. It was the time of The Beatles and my parents wouldn't buy me a guitar until I learned the uke- so I did. And forgot it all after the guitar. Now wanting to go rootsy. Wife bought me a nice soprano Washburn 15 years ago, but never really played it. A couple of weeks ago, bought a Kala Tenor. Pretty sunburst, but entry level (just in case, y'know).
Your channel has been a blessing! Regaining my first love of the instrument! You speak in simple terms and are patient. You are a good teacher here and sure even better in person or Zoom, which I will look into if I get serious about this. Not sure where you live. If you live in a green state it might be a fun trip if not too cold! If you answer this, will know you have read this far, I guess. You're the one who asked for the info on this, I believe. Good cheap market research!
Could read music before words. Musician all my life, bass main instrument- UKULELE bass, mostly Kala- they are the best IMHO. Keyboards, percussion, things with strings, some bone.

Hello from So Calif! I've been playing for 2 years now, and enjoy fingerpicking more than strumming when possible. I have a Ohana tenor uke gifted by my dad, who has been playing for many, many years!

Hello, total beginner 10 days along, from Australia. Thankyou! Great tutorial. I can stop and go over again. I'm still learning which fingers for chords. I have always preferred the sound of fingerpicking - now I'm underway. Terrific, thankyou. 🙂 🎸🎶

Excellent instructional video …. I’ve had a couple of Ukulele’s for about three years, I watch many different types of learning video, but hardly ever pick them up and play them. I’m passionate about learning, but this is the first video which I’ve actually, properly, engaged with.
Let’s hope that this is the first of many, and that I will pick my ukulele later today, and start fingerpicking.
I actually play classical guitar, to a lesser degree, which I’ve been playing for many years, I absolutely love it, but I just wanted to try playing the ukulele.
    Here goes.
    Much thanks,
    Steve, Bristol, U.K. 🎶 🎼 🎵

Hi from the Netherlands. Started playing the uke on my own on 9 april-23, so at this moment almost 3 months and am hooked. Not a musical background and almost 72 but I learn fast, practice every day for more than 1 hour. Playing chords goes well and now I love to learn fingerpicking the way you teach it. I am working myself through all your lessons so hopefully I will be able to follow the bpm the way you do. My fingers get mixed up sometimes with some pickingpatterns. Thank you for your lessons.

Hola! (From Spain). I bought my first uke about three years ago, but I didn't learn anything until this month, that I really started with it and I really loving it. I've discovered your videos this week and man, they're amazing.

Hello from Broomfield, Colorado! I’ve been playing for two years and recently purchased a tenor Kala, strung with a low G while on vacation, in Oahu. My music background is from playing the violin. Many thanks for all your content and revisiting fingerpicking. I enjoy your calm, clear, and positive style. Thanks for teaching and inspiring us to play.

Hi from France (but normally in Australia).
I've been playing uke for 3 years: tenor and baritone. I prefer fingerprinting and chord melody when playing by myself, but also love a good strum+sing with others.
    I love your channel!
    Cheers

Hi from Rīga, Latvia 🇱🇻! I am totally beginner, got a soprano uke, that was a gift to my son, but he is not ready to learn how to play 😊 I have finished music school at piano class, so something from music theory is known by me. My favorite chord progression is C, Am, F, G7, but F doesn't sound clear😢 I really enjoy Kevin's lessons! especially "keep smiling" sounds right in time 😀

South Carolina- I would love to find a fingerpicking chart that shows the actual notes. I'm a music teacher of 12+ years. I teach piano, flute, voice and ukulele. I'm a self taught ukulele player of 4+ years but I have a 3 year old student and chords are too hard for him. I think fingerpicking is exactly what he needs. As a music teacher I'm doing a disservice if I don't have a chart. Thanks! Your video is great!❤

Can a Baritone be strung like a Tenor uke? I like the shapes of standard uke and need more room for my fingers. Already have a banjo in Chicago tuning.

I watched your “Yesterday” uke tutorial and tbh I think fingerpicking should’ve been implemented in the very beginning before the lyrics

If the initial worksheet is free how about a peek without signing up for anything, including a free trial. If the initial worksheet intrigues it will sell itself....

I'm glad you brought up this topic -- when you get the free worksheet for this lesson, you will also gain access to a large free content area that essentially represents the consolidated version of the full AllForUke site. You'll be able to access and download several song sheets, tabs, worksheets and you'll be able to check out the practice jam tracks that correspond with the videos, which I feel are very helpful to improve your playing. All this requires is entering your email when you go to allforuke.com/lessons. If you're intrigued by the free member area content, you can trial the full site with a 7 day free trial if you visit allforuke.com/memberships. There is a lot of material to check out so feel free to take your time and browse. If you have questions, you can always DM us on IG or send an email to support@allforuke.com.

For older students, showing a chart and then expecting us to remember it, isn’t as easy, as you calling out the string names. Just saying
