    The vast majority of those employing these tactics are reaping substantial profits; certainly, the dangers are greater, but isn't the ongoing business sector not also risky? Rather than long-term trading, it appears that temporary trading is the preferred approach for handling this downturn and high expansion.

      I think the best approach for navigating the current recession and rising inflation is short-term trading as opposed to long-term trading. Despite the extra dangers involved, isn't the current market dangerous as well? Most persons who employ these techniques succeed financially significantly.

      Ghost World recessions happen because of credit expansion. If you have a pure capitalist driven economy without a central bank you can still have recessions if typical banks are allowed to do fractional reserve banking. Only way to prevent recessions is for banks to keep 100 percent reserves.

    GDP figures are not values, they are prices.
    PPP is total value produced, GDP is the sum of prices of goods and services produced.
    Values can be compared, prices can't.

    • @nachannachle2706
      @nachannachle2706 4 года назад

      Prices (GDP nominal) CAN be compared, but only at specific dates for the sake of exchange rates consistency. But for the long term, values (GDP PPP) are a much more reliable metric.
      If we go by GDP Nominal, the USA, China and the EU are leaders (they appear to have "strong" (manipulated) currencies). If we go by GDP PPP, China, USA and India are your upcoming/current Economic powerhouses (they appear to have more room for (consumer/investment) "growth").
      In any case, provided they stay on the same course as now (and avoid political/social unrest), China (conservative) and India (liberal) are to rule the third phase of the 21st century (2030s and beyond).

That is at the expense of not just the GDP per capita of the rest of the population but the safety, security and the cultural integrity of the host country.

    I live in los angeles California. This is what is happening with businesses where productivity is slowing and tariffs are hurting us. Along with inflation on rent, mortgages, food, loans, cost of fuel, is hurting the average persons income.

  • @O1Kanoby
    @O1Kanoby 5 лет назад +1

    He forgot to mention another indicator that a recession is on the horizon and that is the two and 10 year bond yields..... If they invert, look out. So what he was saying about investors taking money out of an uncertain stock market and putting it in bonds is wrong because right now the 10-year bond does not yield more then the 2 year bond.

    Every day we have a new problem. It's the new normal. At first we thought it was a crisis, now we know it's a new normal and we have to adapt. Now my question, what steps can we take to generate more income during quantitative adjustment? Also, where should we put our invstment money now to better prepare for the future and a liquidity crisis? I can't afford my hard-earned $80,000 savings to turn to dust

  • @vandanarana6164
    @vandanarana6164 5 лет назад +3

    Well explained. Also no matter which political party is ruling the country, Recession is normal phenomenon or we can say economic cycle in capitalist society which occurs after every decade where it last for 6 to 12 months and when it's prolonged for period of 3 to 4 years it's called Depression. Their is also benefit of Recession as it helps to reduce the inflation. Recession reduces the purchasing power of the people , so when people have less money to purchase they have less demand for the products and services which in turn impact the GDP ie Gross domestic product ( the values of the goods and services produced within the country. Some of the factors which reduce the purchasing power of the people are high interest rate, increase in unemployment due to cost cutting in the companies, reduced salary and wages. These days the companies are more focused in cost cutting by firing their employees / man power instead of focusing on Investing activities as a result when people don't have the jobs they will spend on their basic necessities only rather than the luxuries.
