दिल्ली प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय (डीटीयू) ने बृहस्पतिवार (16 Nov 2023) को स्नातक, स्नातकोत्तर, और डॉक्टर ऑफ फिलॉसफी की डिग्री प्रदान करने के लिए अपना दसवां दीक्षांत समारोह का आयोजन किया। विश्वविद्यालय के दीक्षांत समारोह का उद्घाटन दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल और विश्वविद्यालय कुलाधिपति श्री वी के सक्सेना ने किया। इस बार विश्वविद्यालय के दीक्षांत समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में DRDO की महानिदेशक और वैज्ञानिक सुश्री सुमा वर्गिस और विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में दिल्ली की शिक्षा मंत्री सुश्री आतिशी भी उपस्थित रहीं। दिल्ली प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय के इस दीक्षांत समारोह में 2628 छात्रों को स्नातक की डिग्री, 845 छात्रों को स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री और 147 छात्रों को डॉक्टरेट की उपाधियों से सम्मानित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम के पूर्व संध्या पर विभिन्न विषयों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले 56 विद्यार्थियों को वाइस-चांसलर गोल्ड मेडल एवं 52 विद्यार्थियों को लगभग 26,8500/- रुपये का स्कालरशिप भी देकर सम्मानित किया गया । स्नातक में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करके बीटेक कंप्यूटर साइंस की छात्रा नेहा गोयल और बी. ए ऑनर्स इकोनॉमिक्स से चिराग गर्ग ने चांसलर गोल्ड मेडल संयुक्त हांसिल किया वहीँ स्नातकोत्तर में सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करके एम.टेक प्रोडक्शन इंजीनियरिंग की छात्रा अर्चना गोपाल ने चांसलर गोल्ड मेडल हासिल किया।
इस मौके पर कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कर रहे दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल श्री वी के सक्सेना ने छात्रों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि डिग्री तो केवल पढ़ाई के खर्चे की रसीद होती हैं शिक्षा वही है जो आपका व्यवहार दर्शाये । वहीं कार्यक्रम के सम्बोधन में मुख्य अतिथि सुश्री सुमा वर्गिस ने छात्रों को बधाई दी । दिल्ली की शिक्षा मंत्री सुश्री आतिशी ने छात्रों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा की अपने नैतिक मूल्यों को हमेशा याद रखें तो हमेशा सफलता मिलेगी। दीक्षांत समारोह को सम्बोधित करते हुए विश्वविद्यालय की कुलपति प्रोफेसर एस इंदु ने कहा कि आज जो आपको सम्मान मिल रहा है हम उम्मीद करते हैं की आप कुछ ऐसा करेंगे जिससे देश को आप पर गर्व हो । विश्वविद्यालय के पूर्व छात्र-छात्राएं हमेशा राष्ट्र के प्रगति के लिए निरंतर कार्य करते आए हैं, आप भी ऐसे सपने देखें और उन्हें हकीकत में बदलें।
10th convocation of Delhi Technological University (DTU)
Delhi Technological University (DTU) has held its tenth convocation to confer undergraduate, graduate, and doctor of philosophy degrees on 16th November, 2023. The convocation was presided by Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Chancellor of the University, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena. DRDO Director General and scientist Ms. Suma Varughese was present as the Chief Guest, whereas Ms. Atishi, Delhi's Education Minister was present as the Guest of honour. In this convocation ceremony, 2628 students were awarded bachelor's degree, 845 students were awarded master's degree and 147 students were awarded doctorate degree. On the eve of convocation, 56 students were honoured with Vice-Chancellor Gold Medal and 52 students were honoured with scholarship worth approximately Rs 26,8500/-. Neha Goyal, a student of B.Tech. Computer Science and Chirag Garg from BA Honors Economics won the joint Chancellor's Gold Medal, while Archana Gopal, a student of M.Tech. Production Engineering, won the Chancellor's Gold Medal for her best performance in post-graduation.
On this occasion, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri VK Saxena, who was presiding over the program, while addressing the students, said that the degree is only a receipt for the expenses of education, real education is what your behaviour reflects. While addressing the program, Ms. Suma Varghese congratulated the students. Delhi's Education Minister Ms. Atishi, while addressing the students, said that if you always remember your moral values, you will always get success. Addressing the convocation, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor S. Indu said that the honour you are getting today, we hope that you will do something that will make the country proud of you. The alumni of the university have always been working tirelessly for the progress of the nation, you too should dream like this and convert them into reality.
