I just came across your channel Pretty impressed So I went back and watched all the other ones that you had done I am glad I found you Sammy great work 👍
I've seen pretty restorations of these dressers, but this makeover really is a modern update that will look beautiful in many settings. Good idea to trim to trim the drawer fronts in contrasting edging, and new hardware is elegant. That original hardware is special, I would resell it and make more $. The weather always seems perfect in your videos when you are working outside.
First time watching and enjoyed your video a lot. When you trim the drawers in a painted wood, it can help to paint the sides of the drawer fronts too. That way if any is visible beyond your trim, it doesn’t stand out. Lovely job and great video. Subscribed.
Great problem solving and a wonderful result! Those original pulls may be look into how much they sell for… many are missing a few to complete their project. You defiantly did a great job & video!
I agree! Do an image search for Art Deco Brass and Bakelite dresser pulls and you'll find these pulls. They're usually out of stock but when they ARE available, they are quite pricey.
Beautiful piece. I believe is from the 40’s, that style is called Waterfall. Loved what you did with the combination of paint and stain. The black pops with the stain. Good luck.
You should maybe have used two handles on the top painted drawer since you changed them and you had enough. Beautiful restoration- transformation. Keep the old handles for another project... they were gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing
Only thing I'd recommend is using a better microphone to record your commentary (hard to hear often); but your piece turned out 🔥 and looks amazing. Keep at it!
Thank you so much and I would agree with you I had some difficulties with my mic recording this video but with hopefully get a better mic soon! Glad you still enjoyed 😊
Art deco is what it is today. I opt for restoration of any piece of furniture, therefore NO painting. I know this dresser ends up beautiful for someone, just not my thing
Stunning hardware. It makes the piece! Beautifully done.
Thank you very much! Glad you like it

Because she ruined a gorgeous art deco piece and turned it into something generic.

Great Transformation.
Would it be even better if there were before and after pictures at the end?
There are before and after at the end go take a look. I like to add it so you can compare them and really see the difference.
Great flip, love that you added trim to the drawers 🧚♀ ps like the other commenter said, you totally deserve more subs!! keep going ❤
Thank you so much for the support!❤️
Beautiful! What is the black paint you used?
Yes it is the color Carbon by Behr! I love it. This one is a satin finish
Hi Sammy! Nicely done lass! Which brand of black paint did you use please! :-)
Yeah on most of my projects including this one I use behr paint. I would love to try some other furniture paints though!
Absolutely beautiful! You do fabulous work. Such attention to detail.
Curious how much you sold the dresser for?
Thank you so much! I have a profit break down in the description if you wanna take a look! ☺️
молодец очаровашка!!!
Thank you!!
Can you tell me what was the black paint you used?
Yes it is called Carbon by Behr paint! So pigmented and I got this one in a satin finish
@@DIYWithSammy thanks so much!!!
You certainly have talent, however, I find that the finished product looks like something I'd see at Rooms to Go or even the Room Store.
Thanks Ronny

It’s called carbon and the brand is Behr paint
Last question :) where did you find the hardware? I have some similar on my built-ins but these are stunning.
I ordered mine off of amazon where I get most of my hardware. Here is a link for the ones I got for this piece!

I can understand where you are coming from I really love natural wood pieces and restoring furniture.
Il fatto di aver sacrificato quelle meraviglioso, ormai introvabili maniglie, definisce questo " restyling"....tristezza 😢
Thanks for watching!
Another painted chest of drawers 😞
Hopefully I will have a restoration coming soon 😊
Too much damage to the veneer!
A lot of the wood was saved and that contrast with the paint makes it much more saleable and less likely to end up discarded.
