Of course everybody can make their own decisions and choose whatever path they want it's just going to be harder with a religious couple pursuing marriage with different religious views .. also I just thought about this unless someone wants to convert on their own before they met you it's really not going to be healthy that you're changing religions just to appease your boyfriend
I once dated a Muslim man and he said I know you’re a Christian and I respect your religion so I’ll never tell or make you change. He liked that I was an independent woman and he wanted to raise a family in a household where both parents split the parenting/chores/bills down the middle. Everything was good for a while we had no big issues we couldn’t resolve together. Later on he told his parents about me and his mother was telling him that if I wanted to marry her son I was to convert to their religion and to stop working and become completely dependent on her son. So ofc I ran out of there as fast as I could tell he was so scared of his parents and let them control his life.
I'm glad you got rid of this man who behaves like a child and lets his mother control him. But there's something you should know: his mother is psychopath and definitely crazy. In Islam, women are allowed to work, and many Muslim men marry teachers, doctors, engineers, business woman....etc. And Muslim men have no problem with this matter at all, when a man is confident and capable of himself and can prove himself to his wife without making her resign from her job and become bankrupt, this man certainly has no problem with his wife working, because some men do not feel confident and do not feel safe if his wife works, because he feels that at any moment she will leave him and abandon him and that she does not need him, In return, he makes his wife quit work in order to make her depend on him. He wants her to always be in need of him and his money, And of course this behavior is the behavior of cowardly and mentally ill men, not all Muslims are like this. But what do you expect from a sensible adult man who lets his mother control his decisions? Of course he'll be a coward. Most of the Muslim men I know are strong, capable and self-confident to the point that they put an end to their mothers and never let their parents interfere in their wives' affairs, and so all Muslim men should be because this is what Islam commands that the wife have her own home and servants of her own, and that her husband supports her and that no one else is responsible for his wife, Neither his mother nor his father nor anyone at all, no one interferes with his wife or controls her, but the sissy boy is the one who follows the words of his mother.
And there's something else you should know: when a Muslim man approaches you and expresses interest in marrying you without asking you to change your religion, you should be aware that he is LYING No matter what he says or proves, don't believe him. In our Islamic religion, a Muslim man or woman cannot marry a non-Muslim It is forbidden for us Even if he strongly desires to marry you and claims not to care about religion, his family will be angry and threaten to disown him, and then he will comply with their wishes. Or he will simply lie to you and when he is sure that you fell in love with him and that you became obsessed with him and you will not leave him then he will show his true face and tell you that you should convert to Islam, and many Muslim men unfortunately do this thing and lie even though this behavior is forbidden by Islam.🤷♀
Thats in almost every middle eastern, asian familys the case. As soon as the family Shows up they Start to interfere and talk like a little demon in the mens ears. Then they come home angry and pissed off to his wife and sometimes children too. The mothers and sisters are the worst. And like in your case. The men are (when left alone) almost everytime good men but as soon as the family shit starts theire opressed and manipulated little inner child comes out. Ok family is important but unfortunately you the wife are on the mercy if the mother likes you or not. They could use theire influence to Keep a family together when there are problems between wife/husband but in the most cases they are the ones creating the problems. Ive seen all this by my own father and his side.. theyre like little snakes influencing and Manipulating him around. It takes a strong and independet Charakter, not money. Bcs my father had more money then they all together but still he was listening to them like a child...
“Why does she want to wait for her dad?” In other words, ‘why does she want her dad at the wedding’. Is he for real?! You can bet if they do get married, she won’t be allowed to see her dad. Ever. Run girlfriend. Run!
Actually weeding and marriage is not the same He meant signing the papers, but even tho they are not practicing religion but toxic culture, true red flag
Unfortunately it’s not that uncommon in Islamic nations for families to literally kill or disown their family members for marrying outside the religion. My moms friend had to flee the Middle East because they threatened to kill him for marrying a Jewish woman. He has no contact with them anymore and they said if he ever returns they will kill him.
If the camera crew weren’t there…imagine the real life situation behind closed doors. Neighbors wouldn’t care because they’re all ganged up against her 🤷🏻♀️.
@@eviedevi. bro Brittany's fiance guy literally yelled at her and put his hands up in her face when he was mad just cause she said hi to the camera crew. I wouldn't Put domestic violence past him.
As a Muslim women Yazans parents have no control in their emotions whatsoever. Brittany is clearly from America so of course, if Yazan didn’t explain to her how his family is and how Islam is (which they are sadly misrepresenting it and I’m very disappointed in them) how would she know what’s “respectful” in the parents eyes? She’s been so respectful like the whole time. Just because she’s mad at him while he tries to sweet talk her doesn’t mean she’s disrespecting him as she said he was being rude to her the whole day. Also pressuring her to become a Muslim to get married like really? No one should ever force anyone to any religion. In the Quran there is a verse that says don’t force anyone into Islam and they’re doing the exact opposite. From what I’m seeing they’re following more cultural stuff than Islamic stuff. Plus, telling someone to change into something they’re clearly not so quick like it’s easy OF COURSE ITS NOT. It’s like if you’re doing this particular sin over and over again and you have a hard time stopping and your friend says “oh it’s just *this sin* it’s easy to quit!” no it’s isn’t! It’s like them telling her to change in a matter of seconds it’s wrong. I’m really sorry for people who think this is Islam I promise you IT IS NOT. A women has the right to say no to her husband she is not a slave! Even slaves in Islam had the right to say no. This is how badly they are treating her.
It true my parents are muslins and went they watched the video with me they were right all along with what Brittany says and it the same for me and I’m mad that there is some people that force people to change there selfs
Idk the very fact muslims kill in the name of Islam makes it a non peaceful religion, you're just more extreme version's of christian/catholic/lutheran/mormon/prodistant. Just another flavor of the religion that holds humanity back from greatness. Like they all do. Violent cults with primitive behaviors spreading trauma. Once humans move past the blind faith behaviors and start using their brains for science and growth of the mind with introspection. We'll all be in a better place. We can keep the family unit, good productive behaviors and teach morality without religion and/or whatever the American "left" is doing. Which also displays cult behaviors.
They read the same Quar'an you do. Whether you like it or not, they justify their actions with the same religious doctrine you follow. If you don't like that, perhaps you should deconstruct your own religion. As an ex-fundamentalist christian, you don't get to say 'Islam isn't like that' - because it sure as hell is for them, and they pray to the same 'god' you do.
why are you saying that if you’re clearly not a muslim rainjay, As a muslim it’s true this is not how islam works because my parents didn’t force me to be a muslim but because I go to the mosque every weekend and … I know how important it actually is and honestly I’m so grateful to have a family like them. But if you have parents like azan of course people will misunderstand Islam.
@@rainjayriots rainjay what are you talking about? You know that no matter where you go in the world there will be bad people, people who misunderstand things and people who DO what they WANT. Of course we CAN say Islam isn’t like that because God wrote in the Quran everything perfectly. Humans aren’t perfect so of course someone isn’t gonna follow the Quran in the right way because they’re PEOPLE. For example, in Christianity it tells you to love your neighbor as yourself. Now, you see a Christian that hates their neighbor. So, just because this Christian hates their neighbor does that mean that ALL Christians hate their neighbor? Of course not! This is a simple concept. Moreover, not all Muslims are like Yazans parents. The Quran is perfect and the people aren’t period.
Oh God, as a Muslim woman, that stupid family represented us so badly that it made me sick throughout the whole video. Also, no one should ever ever force someone to enter any religion by any means. Her fiancée and his family are all incredibly toxic and misogynistic, what wrong with them tbh? I hope she left them and found someone better.
speaking from experience as someone who comes from an arabic religious family, this is sadly normalized, especially in the Middle East. In Middle Eastern culture, when a lady gets married to a guy, it's said that the now wife has to stay with her husbands family then. I absolutely disagree with how these parents were acting, extremely immature but common behavior. It's a sin in Islam to be forcing someone to wear the hijab or to force them into religion, along with somewhat enforcing the marriage by pressure. I do hope that Britney doesn't end up with Yazan, its a horrible match.
Of course they want her to stay with the guys family so they can force her to convert and control her. You guys always say this but yet they know how it will be if they don't convert so basically they just do it. Also your prophet forced marriage himself and even had s slaves. Also women are literally given fo men. Aisha was literally given to him for marriage at six years old. Did she have a choice on that? Also it says that h ll is filled mostly with almost all women and that it's a lot times harder for a woman to get into paradise than a man. Also says in it that it's a sin everyday a woman does not wear a hijab and tempts men and that they are punished and prays not answered everyday they do not wear a hijab and tempts men.
I'm not sure why someone at youtube deletes my comment. I literally just repeated what the quran and religion says and Muhammad did. And this is not my opinion it's just facts
And everything I told you in the comment someone at youtube deleted is just facts and the way it is. This is the reason they don't want her to have social media and interact and socialize with many people and men that are not her husband. And want her to live with them and don't care if her infidel Non M family to be around. So everything you said is wrong how it's not forced to convert or to wear a hijab. I just told you what it says that proves this in my comment someone keeps deleting.
My heart goes out to her when she said “I don’t know what you’re saying. I don’t speak this language. “trust me babe it hurts worse when you understand what they’re saying. I’m a Muslim woman and I can guarantee you 100% our religion it’s not like this our religion doesn’t have these requirements they need approval from both sides and the family comes into one. This is all narrowminded culture.
Your religion says that hll is filled with mostly women. I work with M woman and she told me she is scared she won't go to paradise because it's way more times harder for a woman to get into paradise than a man. And that hll is filled with almost all women mostly

This reminds me of that movie Not WIthout My Daughter where the woman marries a muslim and he gets her to visit Iran then once she is there he beats the shit out of her and the family goes all pycho on her. Muslims always say they are misrepresented but I think they are just naïve on how bad their culture is and how they treat women.
@@Moi_81 it's definitely a Muslim thing. Look it up somewhere in their book it says: the man shall use his wife to his content. It goes far beyond the control the parents admitted to force on her. Her dad/family is infidel so they don't like it and want her to cut them off and just be with them.

He meant signing the papers, but even tho they are not practicing religion but toxic culture, true red flag
Later on Yazon's brother tells him he fears his father and other family members will kill him. It really gets complicated.
I remember that
Honor killing? they do give that vibe. Britney would be very welcomed in my Arab family. That one? they are scary. I know a family like that. Jeezuz

Sure they would
As a Muslim women Yazans parents have no control in their emotions whatsoever.
Yeah it pissed me off
@@divineeegoddess same, it really agitated me as well, and then the dad seemed to be kinda surprised when she left
They don't care about her. They just want to control her. Run.
speaking from experience as someone who comes from an arabic religious family, this is sadly normalized, especially in the Middle East.
He seems like a good man but he should provide a separated house for his wife.
No it’s not you fucking liar
