Before this class, I did not know who Bertrand Russell was, However, I've always been an advocate for "staying curious" and question everything. It would seem that Russell would agree!
Most likely I'm going to delve more into his work

Indeed, Russell did an excellent job articulating the case in favor of inquisitiveness. Cool that you met his ideas already on board :)

Hi Matt, many thanks for the links with past science, especially interested with the notion that the discipline is not quantifiable with any Evidence Base other than the transformation of self through these contemplative disciplines and reflections, very wise words. Best regards. Russ UG Bsc Hns (Open) in the UK

Sir may I ask what are the two questions that you want to ask to bertrand russell about the value of philosophy?

Russell was a popular public intellectual, helping those who'd listen see through demagogues' and warmongers' ploys . I'd ask him what of his approach he found most effective, and how he'd modify it to help mankind today. With democracy, truth and reasonableness under constant attack, we could learn much from his example. Thanks for your interest!

    3) Russell says that philosophy is to be studied for the sake of the importance of questions it addresses. He provides a thought experiment to demonstrate the importance of these questions. What is it? Explain his reasoning.
