Shashank Sajwan is an IAS mentor from Uttarakhand. He has done his graduation in Physics Hons. From Delhi University and Post-Graduation in Public Administration from IGNOU. When he
was in his graduation, he decided that he want to prepare for UPSC and after it he began it.
During his alluring journey, he found that many of the Aspirants who are preparing for this exam are not having any guidance and their preparation is also disguised. In this exam, Patience, Dedication and good guidance is important. If one is having all the weapons prepared before the fight, then they can win the battle. But when he got to see that students are having these issues in their preparation, he decided to share his experience with them so that they can tackle their upcoming problems without any mess. Therefore, he made an Instagram Page and he started
to share his views, thoughts, experience which he has gained in his UPSC journey. And luckily, he found that the people are loving it.

1. Your purpose makes you consistent in preparation and have patience (1 year dedicated to UPSC CSE)
2. Understand the demand of the exam by previous years questions and syllabus
3. Understand exam pattern
4. Integrated preparation of mains and prelims -
First do the core subjects(both in pre and mains - polity,geo, history (pre - facts. , Mains - concepts)
5. Clear your basics of core subjects - NCERT and do optional preparation.
6. Revision
3 important things -
1.Practice,
2.Previous years questions,
3. Revision.
Do basics and optional then core subjects with answer writing and practice then revision and complete pending syllabus.
Prelims oriented - facts , concepts
Mains - answer writing , revise optional .
Booklist -
Laxmikant
History - modern (more important) - spectrum
- ancient, medieval - old NCERT
Geography - NCERT , GC Leong or own notes via coaching reference
General science- current based static part
Economics - NCERT , Sanjiv Verma / Sri ram
Current affairs- newspaper (30-40min) and monthly magazine and yojana, Kurukshetra summary.
