    We knew (most of) these terms but this would be a great lil video to hand someone new on your boat using an iPad just sit them down for 6mins and watch their eyes spin🥴 in their heads😂

    OK, so toilets are heads, kitchens are galleys, rooms are cabins, beds are berths. All fine nautical terms. So we do we use the aristocratic French word _dinette_ instead of the good old Ancient English nautical term _mess?_

      ...Of course. And we don't say "after berth". Even if it is warm and squishy.
