Hey Jenna, this story is just too good! 😂 The case of the mystery chicken had me hooked from start to finish. It's amazing how these little feathered escape artists can surprise us. I've had my fair share of "chicken math" not adding up, but finding a hen that's been MIA for months and then discovering a stash of eggs is next level. It really highlights the unexpected adventures of homesteading life. The best part has to be when your son found the eggs in his tent and you realized you had an extra chicken all along. It's like a little homestead miracle! It just goes to show, our little farm communities are full of surprises and every day is a new adventure. It's stories like these that remind me why being part of the homesteading community is so important. We get to share these wild tales, support each other through the ups and downs, and learn from each other's experiences. Keep sharing these gems, Jenna! Can't wait to hear what happens next on Holy Ground Homestead. 🐓
I LOVE how you called them little feathered escape artists! That describes them perfectly 😂😂😂 somehow they manage to escape like once a week on my homestead 😅 definitely my fault but they are opportunistic!!! It’s fun, unexpected adventures like these that make homesteading so rewarding and unpredictable. I 100% agree with you that having a homestead community is so important. That is exactly what we were hoping for…… to be able to swap stories and share our adventures but also hear about what others are doing and experiencing too! 😊
It honestly feels like Easter as a kid going and looking for eggs 😂 I walked around my property after filming this video to see if I could find any more eggs and it was so fun if I’m being honest 😂 we didn’t find any other eggs though.
They may have! The weather has been all over the place lately!!! I plan on either marking them and putting them in the nesting boxes my chickens refuse to use or cooking them up and feeding them breakfast.

Wonder how long those eggs have been sitting there? Could they have frozen and thawed during that time? No way of telling! Quite the mystery!

That is THE BEST place to lay eggs! What a great spot! 🤣 Also, CHICKEN MATH!!
