Dear Dave! I found your channel not so long ago. You're a crazy good guitarist, with a gorgeous talent. You dont't have to shred or tap or do anything special, because your fingers are make beautiful, soulful music from that wonderful instrument. And no matter if it is a cheap budget guitar or an expensive one. You make any instrument talk from your heart. I have started to play guitar more than one year ago and my favourite guitarists are Brian May, David Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Hendrix and a few other big names. And now... you're my next guitar legend. You are a very kind, funny, and soulful guy. Sometimes i wish I was live in the 60's and 70's, because I'm in love with the classic rock era. But if i'm listening to you, I'm so happy, that I'm living now. At this moment, when i'm writing this comment and listening to the beautiful playing, I'm crying. You made my cry. In a good way. I think the world needs music and musicians like this. Really love this video. Sometimes you just want music without words. And even in your saddest moments, music is always with you. After watching and listening to this several times and seeing the evening fog passing by the light in the distance through the window. I must say it adds so much to the ambiance and depth of this masterful piece of music. The darkness and the heartfelt sadness in the tune grips the inner being. Dave you have a gift my brother. Letting those feelings out in your music we can hear and feel them, and understand those feelings. We all share some sort of darkness in our lives because we are human and flawed by nature. Even in the darkest night though, if you seek the light it can and will be found. 👍

Why do we so love to be sad? Perhaps because we are reminded of the Phoenix rising from the ashes of its own destruction, and that every low point in our lives has its redemption if we can just find it in our hearts. He can't do that...this is from his soul. How can you repeat that...write it down? A technique of many successful instrumentalists is to transcribe the solos of their idols...why don't you try it?
@@davidsmart8594 I would not know where to start ;). Maybe when I retire, I might just have a go. I know that this (like many of his best works) comes from Dave’s sole. It was more to underline how awesome these pieces are. It will be a shame for them to get lost on the channel. I often go back and listen to Daves pieces and there are so many. God forbid they should ever get removed or lost for the world to enjoy.

I'll tell you what...I don't read 'TABS', I read music notation, but I'll 'learn' TABS if it means helping you get (some of ) this down on paper. Feel free to ask. I wish I was able to play the way you do but I can’t play solos but the one thing we do have in common is we both put a lot of emotion into out music you in your solo playing and myself into my rhythms! Learn modes and chord progressions and how they fit, put some time in and itl all make sense.
