      I LOVE the blackberries. They are my favorite of all of the brambles. I make a blackberry lime jam that is pretty yummy. I also just did an experiment with black raspberry, red raspberry and blackberry jam with lime. It turned out pretty tasty----that's next week's video. :)

    I have seriously thought about setting a veggie shack up by the road. I live on a "popular lake" road. I bet I can make a nice chunk of change and never leave home. Free milk bone for rover. I'm also starting a worm farm. Gonna get them all... campers, fishers, daily boaters and pets.

    I wish I lived closer so I come to your farm stand! Hello from northwest hot and humid Florida! Where did you get that salad spinner? That is the biggest salad spinner I have ever seen! All my corn finished by end of June. My okra is still making but almost done. I still have some snap beans coming on and cherry tomatoes. It's too hot for greens but I will begin planting fall crops soon and should be able to have greens through winter. I still love to go to farm stands and get other folks vegetables.

      The weather is definitely not as hot and humid where you are. I struggle with greens here....I can't imagine trying to grow them somewhere even hotter. I got the salad spinner from restaurantsupply.com. They have quite a few different sizes types. I love my salad spinner. :)

      @@waardenburgfamilyfarm4764 thank you, I'll check out their website! Yes hot and humid northwest Florida is having a long scorcher spell but it looks like relief is coming hopefully in a couple more weeks then supposed to finally get some lows at night in 70s and only upper 80s during the day. It's the humidity that is what I dislike more than the temperature. We been having 65% plus days with temps near 100 to 104.

    Gorgeous produce! No synthetic fertilizers or pesticides?

    • @waardenburgfamilyfarm4764
      @waardenburgfamilyfarm4764  Месяц назад

      We are totally organic in the market garden. The only place we've had to use any kind of non-organic pesticides is in the orchard. We use mostly organic, but there have been times when we had to resort to non-organic in order to save the fruit. We're still learning and hope to experiment with some newer organic methods for fruit trees this coming season.

    Does a farm stand produce significantly or is it more of”it covers the money for “x” project.

    • @waardenburgfamilyfarm4764
      @waardenburgfamilyfarm4764  Год назад +1

      Yes, the farm stand contributes to offset expenses. Our #1 income is row crops, #2 is Angus beef sales and #3 is farm stand. Keeping in mind, it is very difficult to generate enough income to live on with a small 40 acre farm. Don is retired and Brenda has a home based business and that keeps us going. Thanks for watching!
