With or without the Drake feature Kendrick trajectory was already cemented before Drake met him. Drake was simply catching the wave as he does with every rising artist.
In retrospect I think it's kinda crazy that people hold Kendricks 5yr hiatus as like his rule when before he was dropping every 2/3yrs. Kendrick’s story Did not BEGIN with Drake. He had a career before Drake. The only thing Kendrick did was get added to his tour. That doesn’t mean he made him. And that’s ok. J Cole wanted to sign him . but Kendrick was already with Top and Dre.
I would argue that the poetic justice feature only hurt Kendrick. He helped Drake stay relevant until he found another Atlanta or Houston rapper to leach off of. Edit: Kendrick made MaskOff goated. Shawn always with the hot takes.

Prince was better than MJ. He was a child savant that played a billion instruments and crossed over WAY more genres than MJ. MJ was more popular, but artistically, Prince ran circles around MJ. Prince wrote EVERYTHING. Some of MJ's biggest hits were not written by him. And ultimately, in lasting impact, while they both influenced generations after them, Prince's influence permeates music way more than people truly think. I think, where MJ's lasting impact rests, is in HOW people perform music (music videos, choreography, etc.), but not in the music itself. That doesn't take a way from the fact that MJ is a legend and extremely popular and probably the most popular artist that ever lived.
Idk growing up I feel like everyone talks about mj, no one does prince. Like I remember being a yb and the exact day what I was doin when mj died, no funny shit. And then prince couldn’t even tell ya , I think it was 2016 .
Musically Prince was a prodigy. He was a true artist and a true musician. However Prince being better...idk about that one. Not saying what your saying isnt true. @@davidcici11Evolution that is why I said MJ's impact is in HOW people perform. Prince's impact is on music itself. Its style. its groove. You can hear songs and now it is an homage to Prince and it will be in completely different genres. Prince is more talented but also you can’t deny Michael Jackson made so many classics. “Off the Wall”, “Liberian Girl”, “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” are underrated classics. And that’s excluding well known hits like “Man On The Mirror”, “Dirty Diana”, “Beat It”, “Smooth Criminal”, “Bad”. Michael did Pop, R&B, Funk, Disco, Rock. My bother ur so wrong about mj. He wrote the melody for most of his hit songs . Its a select few of other artist that actually gave mj a song and he kept it the same. Mj is a better vocalist and better at translating his feeling into a instrument. Mj gave many ideas to musicians so they can play it for him. I can see why u assume maybe mj didnt write or produce that much since he was so popular and thats very rare for an artist of that level to do.
