Good evening sir 🙏 Sir i have done my PhD in medical biochemistry and my age is 49 years suggest me what to do next though i have a 7years teaching experience

Sir, currently it is very difficult to find teaching jobs after PhD in core engineering branches in India. Most of the private universities are increasing students intake in computer and IT related courses. Currently those who completed PhD in mech, eee, civil, etc. are facing problems to get job. Kindly make some video on scope for core branch PhDs and also give guidance on which country is having demand for core branches?. Currently it is very serious issue sir.
You could consider national labs and other jobs which are advertised. Indian government jobs often have age limits though. You could consider private sector jobs and teaching also. Sir, Can you suggest how to find, approach a host for a Humboldt fellowship or for any other prestigious fellowship for that matter?? Do they accept fellows with not-so-outstanding PhD paper records??
Yes they can accept you with normal records as they don’t have to pay for the fellow. The area of research and proposal will also play a role. This video will help How to get a host for a postdoc in Germany? ruclips.net/video/OjtZ5yLvcbs/видео.html
Sir, what kind of problems may I face if I don't publish a research paper with my guide, co-guide...is it okay to publish my PhD research paper as sole author?
Publishing a paper is a good achievement from the science perspective. If you publish without guides name you may be asked as to why his name is not there by selection committee members. It is generally presumed that guide’s input is needed for a student to do research.
I have heard that many people come back to India after pursuing PhD and postdoc abroad. Do they return as they are unable to secure full-time jobs abroad due to intense competition or due to other reasons usually?
In some cases their visa may expire before getting a job. In other cases the research area is narrow or in classified domains where non-citizens cannot get jobs. Some like to return to India as they want to be with family or parents. Some people are quite well off in India being only child of parents with home. Some want to go back to contribute. Sometimes there is a combination of these reasons.
@@Mathematician-w1cWell the person does not have any legal option except to return back to the country which issued him his passport. Airlines will only fly you back there. After that they can apply from their home country. They can find some visiting professor job there in some university or join a company or research lab.
@@Mathematician-w1c Getting the documents from the university and collecting all supporting documents takes time. Then you have to get the visa appointment. If all is fine at the interview you get the visa the next business day. In some cases they may need more time for processing. It is good to submit the paperwork 3-6 months before your departure date. The earlier the better.
In most of the IITs upper age limit for both assistant professor grade 1 and assistant professor grade 11 is 35 years old. So if somebody joins as an assistant professor grade ll at the age of 35 years old and after 3 years of experience there, now at 38 years old will they be upgraded to assistant professor grade 1?Will age be an issue in this case since by the time they gain 3 years of experience, they have already passed the upper age limit for assistant professor grade 1?
To the best of my knowledge the problems are only there at the time of getting in. But there are some young scientist and engineer awards with age limits like 40 years which become out of reach for those joining late. But internal promotions should not be an issue. However, you only know with institutions after you join as these decisions are made by registrars according to rules. The academic and legal administration must concur for things to happen
