Centre for Structural Biology (CSSB) is an interdisciplinary research institute that investigates the molecular mechanisms of infections.
The mission of CSSB is to understand the structure, dynamics and function of pathogens and their host interactions. In this context, we use, provide and develop cutting-edge technologies. Our fundamental research seeks to enable the identification of targets for interventions.
Scientific collaboration and dialogue are at the heart of CSSB with the aim to educate and empower scientists from all backgrounds to confidently address the complex challenges of tomorrow.
The centre collaborates with 9 partners located in Hamburg, Germany next to PETRA III beamlines German Electron Synchrotron (DESY) and near the European XFEL.
