  • So I thought that today I would share another brick stitch video with you! I created this pattern a good few months ago, and then I took a brick stitch break... So here's the tutorial now! This Hello Kitty charm may require some thinking, but it is relatively straight forward. You'll just have to be careful with counting etc. Don't forget to check out the Brick Stitch Basics video if you don't have a clue what I'm talking about in this tutorial! It'll all become clear :D Any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.
    Don't forget to post a picture of your makes on Instagram with #TheCornerofCraft so I can check them out!

    Hello everyone. Friendly reminder that this tutorial is now 4 years old and was posted at a time when long videos weren't welcome on RUclips, and my Internet was super slow. There is an option to slow the video down if you need it, and feel free to pause as you bead. This tutorial would have taken me over 8 hours to film and edit so please consider your tone when leaving criticism. Thanks! x

      The Corner of Craft Made one last night by following your video! I gave it to my daughter now I want one for myself 😂. I absolutely love these particular videos (beaded charms). So fun and relaxing to make. I really appreciate you for showing us how. I’m truly looking forward to the next beaded charm video! I’m even willing to pay for your videos!

    hi, i can't understand how you made the beginning can i have a tutorial?

  • @bookanne
    @bookanne 4 года назад +1

    May i suggest... If you are not comfortable with these stitches I highly recommended practicing these particular beading stitches (brick & ladder) there are no shortcuts to beading.
    As they say practice makes perfect!
    *(for your sanity and to retain patience with not only the instructor but yourself practice! practice! practice!)*
    Be kind to yourself (and don't forget to treat others the way you'd like you be treated) XOXOX

      They're size 11 delica beads by the brand Miyuki. You should be able to find them via Amazon! mailorder-beads.co.uk also ships internationally and has a 5 for the price of 4 deal on delicas! x

      Maybe your shade of yellow is a bit paler than the one I used, and therefore doesn't contrast as much with the white. x

      +The Craftinistas That's a good point! I made this pattern myself on a beading program I used to use. I couldn't save them, but now I use a new program, I'll be sure to make the patterns for my older videos and pop them in a blog post :)

    • @thecornerofcraft
      @thecornerofcraft  9 лет назад

      +The Craftinistas I spent the morning making patterns for my past brick stitch tutorial. You can find it here: thecornerofcraft.blogspot.de/2015/11/brick-stitch-patterns-to-older-videos.html

      +The Corner of Craft there is also a site I use called braceletbook to make my string bracelets. but I have been thinking the alpha patterns could be used in square stitch and normal patterns could be used in brick or peyote stitch! if you don't know what alpha and normal patterns are then when you go onto the site and look around you'll find out. I'm user bela153 😊 if this works it would be really cool.

    Difficult to follow, looks easy until you try. Simple things are often the most important to show, show what you have done at the end of each row, if you get lost it's very tricky to find where. I would say it's too fast, some of it out of camera view, just not good

    • @cmiller415

      I agree, she is going fast but this is not really a how to video. It’s for people already familiar with the brick stitch technique. If you already know how to do brick stitch its easy to follow. I would suggest watching a how to video on brick stitch, take some time to practice and get up to speed (no pun intended) and then come back and watch this video.
