Hey Rene, SoCal resident here, I was just watching your video tour of the first Westin home @ Sunterra. Is it possible to be connected with the builder’s subcontractors to have them make some changes on their own work? For example, you showed a full bath with a shower. I’m kind of in my relax phase of life and would like a permanent bench installed to sit and drink a shower beer. Also, if I like a place but there is a tile in an area that just isn’t my taste that I’d like to change. Are these types of requests accommodated or frowned upon? I’m just trying to avoid working with random contractors that might void a warrant on a new home or something along those lines. Thinking of moving this time next year. Thank you
Hey! What part is SoCal are you from? If you build a home from dirt, you’ll have the opportunity to customize parts of the home depending on what structural options they allow. That’s kind of where the process starts. Once you select a lot and the floor plan you can go through and select structural options that you prefer. That could be changing a shower, adding an extended patio, things like that. From there, you’ll be able to select interior finishes at their design center…that would be flooring, tile, hardware etc. The builders won’t change anything on a house that is already complete. If you have specific things you want it would probably be best to build it.
There are several builders in this community that have homes in the low $300’s. Email me at rene@makinghtxhome.com and I can send you some homes to check out.
The second home doesn’t have enough upper cabinets in the kitchen. They should have eliminated the windows and added upper cabinetry. They could have added the little windows at the bottom within the backsplash
Good point! I didn’t even realize that while walking through. Maybe the designers figured since there are so many lower cabinets for storage there wasn’t a need for more uppers? Thinking about being in there, it would also feel kind of dark without those windows. That kitchen is kind of tucked back far from the living room windows…🤷🏽♂️ but what do I know lol Good thing about this builder is that they are semi-custom. I bet they’d build it however someone wanted it.
As a licensed agent there’s certain things I am not allowed to talk about, political stuff being one of them. I’ll say that I am also from CA (L.A.) We left CA for a reason and have been very happy here in Texas. It is the change that we were looking for 😁
You produce high quality videos. Nice presentation.
Thank you! I really appreciate that!

Great video! What's your camera setup like?
Thank you! I just have a DJI Gimbal and my iPhone lol. Plus a Rode wireless mic. I need a better setup but I feel like this gets the job done 🤷🏽♂️
Any floor plans in low 300s?

Where is Wheeler Ave, Baptist Church in relation to these communities?
That church is South of downtown, about 45-60 minutes this area.
Hi, How is the political party there at Katy? I'm from California, and I can not stand the policy here and can't wait to leave this hell hole.
