      I feel every gen is important :
      1st for starting it all and being trailblazers
      2nd for establishing norms for kpop and consistency
      3rd for the global spread and bts impact on kpop. Not a crazy stan but its foolish to ignore, there are other notable groups that have had similar effects, nct, got7, exo ect
      4th gen for a lot more creative exploration and experimentation (not that it hasn't been around before, but it is a lot more common now)

    Fun fact 1st gen groups and some early 2nd gen groups all used to celebrate the winner of music shows when the camera would turn off like a mini party but like mid 2nd gen groups started to leave immediately after I’m guessing because of busy schedules but I forgot which senior group talked about it but they said how they were shocked how awkward everyone was with each other and how no one interacted much because back when they were active they would always celebrate after the music show ended and there was friendly energy.
    Here the link it was talked about on happy together ruclips.net/video/P_mtPOHKUFI/видео.html really sad how much times have changed from friendly and supportive to groups now a days have to hide their reactions and can’t dance to others songs

      But the oppa deul 'don't care.' They keep interact and even date 😅😅😅 some fans even were forcefully sprayed by the oppa to leave their dorms..😂😂😂 once the fans getting old, everyone can laugh about it.
      Even I remember the shinhwa fan said thank you for the oppa who argued with her to go home and study. 😂😂😂 she used to hate it a lot but because of that she thank shinhwa to not make her fail the exam. 😂😂😂

    • @iwjmp
      @iwjmp 3 года назад +3

      @@coldcoldheart2424 Yess I think so, it's only on preference, which is ok ^^. Tbh I'm more of an h.o.t fan. Not a very old fan, I'm only 22 but I started listening to them in 2019. At first I just liked their ballads and happy songs (I still do💕) and ignored their darker concepts, until I decided to read their lyrics and discovered their lyrics about social issues, directly inspired (i guess) by Seo Taiji's bravery when writing, which i admire a lot. Many people (including me) judged them by their style of music but never read their lyrics. For example, I didn't like "I-yah" at all, because it was very "aggressive" to me, it wasn't my style of music, until I read the story behind it and read the translated lyrics and I was like wooow. Then I discovered that the song was actually a way to denounce the negligence of adults after the death of so many children in that tragedy in the Sealand Youth Training Center in 1999. After Knowing that, I listened to it again and omG it became one of my favorite songs, I actually cried listening to it, especially when the song stops and Kangta has a slow, painful solo. What an interesting way to represent sadness and anger at the same time.. The same goes for "Hope", even though I already loved it, I used to think it was a random happy song of hope, but it was their way of giving strength during the 98's Asian finantial crisis . Also "Outside Castle", a song to represent deaf-mute people that even has sign-language choreography, Or "Get it up" (war), "Wolf & Sheep" (society of abuse), Line up (society with no individualism) Warrior's Descendant (bullying), etc etc. I literally fell in love with them after reading their lyrics. Of course they weren't perfect, especially in their use of english, but they wrote a lot of those songs and they're definitely iconic to me. Same goes for Seo Taiji. And Of course I love some songs by Sechskies but since I don't listen to them a lot, I don't know if they have lyrics like that. If you know some songs with great lyrics, or maybe just good songs to dance to, please recommend them to me :( I literally listen to so many music genres, i don't even know what I like anymore lol

    surprised not to see the early TVXQ stuff make the cut here. I wonder sometimes if current kpop fans really know exactly what it was like back in those days when Cassiopeia was as big and boisterous as ARMY is today. I wonder what its like growing up with Kpop in a world post-break up. It's hard for me to even imagine. It was nice to see BoA get her due though. I don't think she gets quite enough credit for how much she actually did for the internationalization of kpop. If she hadn't busted open Japan for KPop and Korean artists, we'd be in a very different place. Kpop owes a lot to that girl and its nice to see her get highlighted

    Just a suggestion. It would be great if you could feature the year of the song too. Keep up the amazing work!

    Black Beat deserved more Wings was underrated.
    I would've added
    Shinhwa - Brand New
    S - I Swear
    Fly to the Sky - Missing You/Sea of Love
