Yet again we’re searching for a QB, it never gets old. I always put as much hope and faith in every QB option they throw at us, but I’m just not sure. I’d love Justin Fields for his mobility, but maybe drafting a rookie could be the answer.
I'd be okay with Fields if they didn't have to pay too much for him the way he has played so far but I think the Steelers are going to try to keep him. Wilson is older and 1 year can make a big difference. The Steelers may decide Fields is a better option. I wouldn't get to a bidding war for Fields.
I wanted so badly for DTR, to be the future quarterback. But now, I question who’s developing him and if DTR, is a film rat. DTR, looks no different than when he was an emergency start for DW4, getting his first NFL start, against the Baltimore Ravens. Which was disastrous! Unfortunately, every time DTR, is given playing time or is a starter. He looks like he just stepped on the football field, for the first time. I see no progress in DTR’s development, not one bit! If, DTR, isn’t doing all things possible to become a legit NFL quarterback. The organization has no other option than to use DTR for trade bait. DTR, looked good playing for his college UCLA, even showed potential during the Browns preseason games. But in live action games, he just doesn’t look like a confident quarterback. If, can’t beat the Miami Dolphins or the get revenge on the Baltimore Ravens, these last two games of this 2024-25 season. I see no point of keeping him on this roster. I like the idea of obtaining Justin Fields, instead of bringing in another aging quarterback. I don’t see how signing Kirk Cousins, Aaron Rodgers or any quarterback on the back nine of their careers, can truly help this team win games consecutively. Sam Darnold, would be a better choice and he’s younger and gaining more experience, every time he on the football field. Myles Garrett, is the face of the franchise and defense. I don’t blame him for speaking up about this team’s situation. The problem with the Browns, is their inability to scout, evaluate, draft, develop, trade or release the right players! If the Browns can’t provide a realistic plan that shows how this team will win games starting the 2025 season. They should accommodate Myles Garrett and trade him to any team, not in the AFC North.
