- This is definitely one of my most provocative/divisive and misunderstood videos. I still stand by the concept and the idea if done correctly (and I have used this method), but have to concede it would be dangerous for a practitioner with little to no stand up experience.

Thank you guys. I was searching a way to break my knee and finally found it.
Ariel Lucas hi thanks for the comment, there has been a few people saying the same thing. So I think it’s important to give some more insight into the technique and idea. I do agree, if you stood still and somebody jumped around your waste for guard and just fell, you would be at risk of injury. This technique is not that, you are using your hand to bloke the closing of the guard (which offers initial protection) and you are using a sliding foot movement backwards to prevent your leg being landed on. The last demonstration was to illustrate the importance of not staying square to prevent your opponent locking off.
Keep hold of the leg with the left hand when you hit the floor, drive right knee over and let go of the lapelle to pass - you should be all good from there on! I hope this helps.
Excellent I am tired of competitors jumping into my guard now I can fully counter!
Does keeping the arm further forward open up the flying triangle?
well explained. Utilizing hanmi (半身) stance with legs in an L-shape, with one leg bent in front and other extended behind as in many traditional Japanese martial arts and some gendai budo also.
Do not put leg forward, there is a possibility of your leg getting snapped by the guard jumper. Very dangerous!
nice
do not try this. don't take the risk of not moving perfectly and breaking the leg.
It's funny bc I started in jiujitsu for a few years but then moved and the only martial art school they have is judo so I signed up and I started pulling guard off the bat lol others started noticing it and started changing things up, now I just Mach pull and set up for some leg locks on the bottom, lol they hate my jiujitsu , they think they're winning while I'm on my back lol until they're tapping from a choke lol
This has stopped nothing he still has a guard just not closed guard hahaha
It's just show u how to protect your knee when your opponent do a jump guard.
Yea no.. I'd rather not HYPEREXTEND either of my legs when someone jumps guard.
